On 2/2/10 a hot water heater burst in a condo above ours, flooding our entire unit. We were not insured. We place a claim with the owner's insurance company. After their investigation, they notified us that the owners of the condo above us called their service company, letting them know that their hot water heater was leaking. The service company (ECM), came on 1/29/10 and tightened a knob, claiming it was now fixed. These companies are know to try in every way to avoid replacing big items.
We have spent nearly 10k to get the condo back to livable condition.
