Good luck trying to cancel your account. Hotmail deliberately creates a run-around where it's impossible to cancel if you've ever linked your Hotmail account or MSN ID to "any paid Microsoft service." They will fail, however, to TELL you what such service may be. It seems like their business model is this: make it impossible for free users to cancel their accounts so they can artificially inflate the number of users they have.

My Hotmail account has been hijacked and my contacts are receiving emails in my name saying I have been robbed at gunpoint while on holiday and need money to return home. Hotmail refuse to accept that I am the owner of the account based on the evidence I have provided and are apparently taking no action to block the account. They suggest that I open a new account!
Hotmail ask questions about the account that most people would not be able to answer without access to their account, like the subject of emails in your inbox and other folders.
A warning to others - keep a copy of your contacts list elsewhere, because if you loose access to your account, Hotmail are unlikely to help.

i have an email address as "[email protected]" but its not working correct as its not sending any mail to any account and not showing the contents of received mails...
kindly do favor and remove the errors as soon as possible...
i am receiving a message from windows live hotmail on the top of my screen, when i signed in by my this I.D which is showing below..

"Windows Live Hotmail was not able to complete this request. Microsoft may contact you about any issues you report"

some one stole my account and is now
using this to defraud my friend and
all my email contacts please stop them
using my account to scam innocent people

I complained to [email protected] regarding that I had received hundreds of spam emails sent to my [email protected] hotmail account. As a direct result of my forwarding the Original Message Header with my complaint to [email protected] and [email protected], their response was to Immediately shut down my hotmail account for reporting of spam. This is unfair. I have NEVER engaged in spamming. This action was taken November 4, 2009 by hotmail.com.
