Bought a dining table from House & Haven in August 2008, for approx R30K, with a 20 year warranty from sales people who can talk the talk, however just over 2.5 years later the table has been repaired 3-4 times for various reasons, I was sold a 'solid mahogany table' where if a plastic feeding spoon knocks the surface top it DENTS the wood and further on, placing as coffee mug on the tablecloth will burn right through the wood. I was told these were faults caused by myself, needless to say I didnt get told i'm buying an ornament instead of a dining table. Further to this i get told that for R3500 they will sand and respray the entire table and it will be as good as new. After 2 months of the table being in the House and haven factory it got delivered in on Wednesday 7042010 in the most shoddy condition believable, thick wax layers still on, lots of finger prints and fine scratches throughout the table, colour variations, the finish is different between chairs and table1 is high gloss the other matt.. The table is extremely sub standard, and the service is even worse. I really advise anyone that may consider buying from House and Haven to really re-consider, they are so NOT elegant!
