I purchased a Freezer from a House & home Store in East London in February 2011, its May allready and have not receiced delivery of my freezer yet.When i speak to the manager at the store i get more excusess then service or delivery.My opinion it is the worst store to buy any furniture from.

I placed an order online for a braai cover. I initially got a response on 31 Dec 2009 that they were out of stock - but it is now 02 Mar 2010 and I think I have been more than patient to no avail.

I get idle promises that my order will be addressed. All I want now is for the order to be cancelled & my money (Which they have had since 301209) to be refunded to me.

Went to store on 29 Nov to buy an advertised patio set for R6000. Andiswa helped us, checked and told us they had no stock. I asked whether there are any available from another branch, she checked & said that there were 3 available in Capetown. She then asked us to wait as she wanted to make sure that these units are not damaged & reported back that they are fine. I asked when we would get it, she said the manager must raise a stock transfer & we should get it in the week. On 2 occasions during the week we followed up, only to be told that she, neither the stock controller is available. On 5 Dec my wife went to shop & spoke to Marius the manager. It seemed that it was never ordered & he promised to check & call back. This never happened and i went in again on 6 Dec, spoke to Marius, he indicated that he passed it back to Andiswa & she should have gone back to my wife. He than said he will follow up, came back & told me a damaged unit is available. I told him that i do not want damaged goods, but will consider if he discounts it, which he said was not possible. It is obvious that the transfer was never done as promised & the customer suffered as a result. Will not support them.

On the 23rd September 2009 House and Home advertised on National Television that the prices of their DSTV decoders are R299, there were no other conditions attached to this, on the 24th September 2009 I visited the branch in Newcastle were i was informed by the sales lady and she informed me that the purchasing of the decoder for R299.00 is subject to the purchasing of a thousand rand installation voucher, I told the sales lady that was not what was advertised on the television and that there was no mention of this, she then called the manager who told me that he had not seen the advert on television so he cant say anything, the sales lady agreed with me as she had seen the same advert, the manager took down my contact details and said he would contact me as the special is till the 27th September 2009, it is now the 28th September and I have heard nothing.
