The residents of the odd numbered homes on Duxbury Court and homes on Somerfield have a berm behind their homes. That berm is no longer grass-covered, as originally supplied. It is bare ground, with rocks, fungus, and mud. Dirt and green algae (spores?) get carried to our windowsills, filling them with green dirt.
Requests for repairs to the berms have been made over the phone, in person, and through various forms of mail; none have been fulfilled. The responses have varied in detail, but all have indicated doing something to remedy the situation.
The optimal seasons for starting, refurbishing, reviving, re-sodding, and re-seeding a lawn have come and gone, over and over and over, year after year; and still we are left with bare, ugly ground.
This takes away from the aesthetic value of our homes. In addition to the adverse visual impact, the terrain is suffering. Drainage is poor, and the muddy runoff is spreading into what had previously been green grass.
The affected residents of 4 Seasons at Weatherby want a plan of action in writing that effectively and permanently repairs the berms behind their homes.
