Recently, there has been a rash of theft and exploitation of freelancers committed by Howard W. Needle of Boca Raton, Florida. He was publisher of Cravings Palm Beach magazine; the magazine published four issues in 2008. As such, he has solicited, hired, harassed and defrauded no less than 15 people while on federal probation. Moreover, he published the work supplied by these industrious freelancers thereby violating their copyrights. It is unclear how he has spent the money he is paid by advertisers.
The authorities have been notified, but in an exhaustive effort to prevent further exposure to freelancers, we are posting a scam alert at scamradar.com. Needle posts help wanted ads online and was quoted in a recent article defiantly stating that he will start a “new magazine”. He places help wanted ads on Craigslist.org and other sites.
