Yesterday i was at best buy & saw an H.P. I was interested in. No one there knew anything about it, but an H.P. rep. happened to be there. It was a 14 inch 3gb etc. wth high diffenition that appeared to meet m needs as on sale for $399 He said it came with the world processing I needed to write a book, no gaming, or ex-cell, but full interent. seemed perfect.
I checked out H.P. web site & contacted Steve - a salesman. he asid he could upgrade what they showed for $445.99, custom built. It would include premium pentium word processing (better than store) & other bells & so forth. He said the word processing program was better & did not require additional pricing later to keep going. I said I would sleep on it.
todayI called & was told this program did not contain word check or edieting. (what good is it then). it would cost $99 more. Something was wrong with that. I spoke to more people who supported this informaton. I know what Steve said night before because I had written it down.
In the meantime I have very elderly parents whom I told this great deal to who are now having fits over the increased amounts & want me to wait until an insurance settlement comes in to pay for it (even though I have six months same a cash on various cards).
I called & challanged discrepency & was told that I ws given incorrect info. the first time or I just did not understand correctly (I am not an idiot). I was further told that the offer could change at any moment (although Steve had told me the night before the offer would be ok for some time to give me a chance to thnk aboutit). I was also now told that the offer would never go that low again, until next year.
I feel as though I have been taken for a ride. I am agngry & upset. I have a HP Pavilion barely 3 yrs. old that has already crashed once (had to be rebuilt), has been hijacked once - despite the protection software, goes so slow it is almost backwards, told the motor to the CD & DVD drive is almost buned out (by several sources) & tht it is on it's last leg. I cannot even save to the hard drive as just drops things mid-way. I have always bought my products via H.P. & now this is how I am treated.
This angers & upsets me grately. They need to get it together. Not have one person quote one thingn one night & the very next day (while checking how to pay for it) told that the informaton saved now no longer included the software package - only a trial period
I am on a very limited income & so I must be very careful. I have been taken for a ride & do not appeciate it. Going up higher doe snot good. Now I get the same story. No one knows who theis steve was, notes on my file are not complete & do not match was was said to me. & I am told prices are to change any moment to the higher amount.
A very bad way to do business.
Someone owes me an explination and no one is willing to own up to their mi-information & down right dedet (sorry about spelling, but I am really angry right now.
You can check with the H.P. web site & if they look up my e-mail address where steve had kept notes, but now are not there in their entiretly; you can see all the gaps.
I feel as though I have been badly treated, but know that I could never stand up to a site like this. So much for trusting anyone!!
