lousy laptop and is costly
sell us a hp laptop for $500 and haven use untill 2 month keep having problem cant turn on and go back more than 6 times to ask for repair but not a will 1 week plus cant on again.

DEFECTIVE LAPTOP SOLD BY DEALER
Reg :- Complaint of new HP laptop purchased

I had purchases a HP Laptop no HP 3124 TX with S No INA04608MX ON 14/02/2011 for Rs 57400/- from HP authorised Dealer -M/s Daksh Distribution & Services, Hazratganj, Lucknow. The Dealer has promised us that the said LAPTOP is recent launch by HP and very fast with excellent battery backup of 3-4 hours.
But after we purchased the laptop we experienced that the LAPTOP is running very slow even slower than the our home PC which was purchased 5 years ago. The battery backup of LAPTOP is not more than 1 hour after 100% charging & sometimes even less. It often hangs up without showing any error or warning and then automatically shuts down.
When we bring the problem to the vender he simply refused to acknowledge the problem and not helped in any way. They told us to go to HP service center. We suspect that the vender has sold us a second hand Laptop in a new packing, as when we reached the shop of vender the packing of Laptop was open and they were using it & then they sold the same to us saying that it is new one.
We had also taken the laptop to hp service center who at first returned it back commenting that battery is alright, now again on 30.06.2011 we had taken the laptop to HP service center & now they are acknowledging that there are problems with the Laptop that - battery is defective & It is heating up too much & even LCD screen is also defective. The laptop is lying with them and they are not giving any satisfactory reply when it would be repaired or replaced. Here through this platform I would like to lodge complaint against HP & vendor of HP - M/s DAKSH Distributor & Services, Hazratganj - that they had sold a defective Laptop to us by making false promises and now refusing to sort the matter.

I demand HP to replace the defective LAPTOP with new Laptop as soon as possible.

Service and Treatment
I purchased a Computer from them it quite working, I sent it back, they said it was completely broken because I had gotten it wet, Then they said that it wasnt recent, I asked them to send me back the Parts and to repair it, They said they could not send me back my bad parts, I volunteered to drive there, they refused to give me there address, They said they would reasemble it and send it back, Do you think I would of gotten my parts back, They said all the circuit boards need replacing to the tune of 451 dollars, I paid 469 for it and got a 50 dollar mail in rebate.I called the Excutive Offices to complain no one would take my call.Every one I talked to was short, curt and disrespectfull to me.Heres some info on HP, Google them and comb through what pops up, they have been find by the Justice Department for over charging people, They have the poorest customer service and reliability of all the Computers I have ever owned.If I would of known before I bought it what I know now I would have never bought a HP.NEVER BUY A HP THEY ARE GARBAGE.

Repairing
I started renting an HP laptop at $60 bi-weekly. Shortly after starting to rent it, the charger went funny. Sometimes it stops working. I like to take the battery out so I'm not overcharing it and zonking it out, so I like a working charger. When I took it in to complain, they told me I shouldn't use the charge chord. That it was only for traveling. It didn't make sense and they didn't make any effort to replace it. Then last week, the night I paid my 60$ payment, my operating system was erased. I took it in. They didn't give me a replacement loaner as promised. They did a poor job fixing my problem and I was sent home with it after only an hour. It kept freezing and was incredibly slow. Then this morning, the harddrive went. I was mad. So I did a little research. Why was my "brand new" laptop delivered to me without even a box or intrustion manuel. Why did it look dirty and scratched. Turned out the laptop they sold to me as a "new" laptop was someone's second hand computer. So I will have paid over $1500 for a secodn hand computer.
This morning I outright bought a brandnew laptop and I am returning the computer I have from EasyHome. I am a very dissatisfied renter.

no refund policy for defective product
My husband and I purchased a laptop brand HP (the price QR3099 equal to
530 poundsterling)in Virgin Megastore in Doha, Qatar on thursday feb 17th, 2011
around 8 p.m.
As soon as we got home we set it up and turned it on. Immediately we heard a
loud noise of fan comming from the laptop.
Because the problem persist, we determined to return to the store the next day.

When we talked to the employee he said that we cannot return it unless there's
manufacture defect on it.
We explained the problem and asked the store to check it.
After a couple of days they told us that the problem fixed and the store cannot
tell us what went wrong with the laptop but whatever the problem was, it was
fixed according to the employee.

We went home and turned on the laptop and the EXACT SAME PROBLEM OCCURED. My
husband went back to the store immediately and the employee said that the loud
noise is normal.


NORMAL????

My husband and I have been dealing with laptop for more than 10 years and we
know it for sure that THERE IS something WRONG. The very loud noise (it sounds
as if the computer working very hard and the fan keeps sounding as if the
computer is trying to reboot. bear in mind we just turned it on and hasnt put
any file into the computer yet so the machine is not supposed to sound working
hard) is not supposed to be there! the store staff kept bluffing trying to make
us accept the condition of the defected laptop.

She refuse to refund our money and said IT IS THE STORE POLICY THAT THERE IS NO
REFUND OR EXCHANGE. IF IT IS DEFECTIVE THE CUSTOMER SHOULD SEND IT TO THE
SERVICE CENTER AND IF THE SERVICE CENTER CANNOT FIX THE PROBLEM THEY WILL
CONSIDER TO EXCHANGE THE PRODUCT. But what is the acceptable timeline To wait
until it gets fix? this is a brand new laptop we are talking about not the one
that has been used and suddenly get damaged! It should be THE VIRGIN MEGASTORE
RESPONSIBILITY TO DEAL WITH THE DAMAGED PRODUCT BECAUSE THE STORE CAN RETURN IT
TO THE MANUFACTURER!

I am very surprise of the staff statement since we haven't got any chance to use
it yet. It damaged already when we received it. We asked to talk to the manager
and she says the manager is away. I went there again by myself few days later
and still the manager is no where to find. Talking to the store employee is like
TALKING TO A TOMB ! all of them just repeat the "it is store policy...".
EVENTHOUGH THE PRODUCT HAS BEEN DAMAGED THEY STILL REFUSE TO REFUND??? AND KEEP
SELLING IT???? IS IT HOW THE VIRGIN STORE MAKE MONEY ALL OVER THE WORLD??? This
is a LOW MORAL trading practise.

It has been 2 (TWO) WEEKS since I bought it and I have never been able to use
it.
The store still refuse to refund our money!
This is getting STRESSFULL because I really need the laptop ASAP. I will go on
vacation for a month start end of march which means that if I wait until they
fix the problem, it will be another 2 months till I can use it and I am sure the
store will use it as a ground not to refund my money back because it has been
over 1 month.

I am VERY DISSAPOINTED for the service I have in Virgin Megastore (I should
refer to it from now on as Virgin MegaTHIEF).
If I dont hear anything from the Virgin headquarter regarding my case WITHIN FEW
DAYS, I am so determined to write a CONSUMER COMPLAINT REPORT in the media here
just to alert other potential victim. Not only the media in Qatar but also
online media, I really dont want anybody to have the same bad experience as I
do. This irresponsible merchant shouldn't be out in the market.

I hope the virgin store can evaluate my case and do a responsible action to your
customer.

return policy
I recently purchased a laptop on clearance with protection plan $159.99 for 2 years. Took the laptop home opened it saw some screen filled up with fingure prints and light scratch. I called office depot and I asked do I need to have protection plan and how many days do I have before returning the plan they said one month for the protection plan and two weeks for the laptop. I returned the laptop the manager said I have to exchange it so I did buy a hp dv6-3120us. Then I said to the manager I am not going to buy protection plan for this laptop he replied that I have to have the protection plan since I have purchased it for the laptop that was on clearence. I could not convince him that i am not going to use the protection plan but he insisted that I have to have it otherwise I can not purchase this hp laptop. I took the laptop home and I realized that the keys simply give up color get scratched marks from my fingures, and too much hp startup applications that keeps the computer to boot in 30 second delay. I called in and asked I am not going to be happy with this laptop they said live with it no exchange I said I have not even used it for more than 45 minutes the manager said so sorry we can not make any exchange live with it.
I am not happy with the response what can I do to exchange this laptop for a better one with less start up applications and faster start up time. I have 2 more days before the 14 day return policy hit me.

Its a matter of great shame for HP in which faith i purchased this laptop. I bought My laptop DV4 TU2110 in april 28, 2010. After buying I am continuously reporting different issues with my laptop.
First i reported my battery is faulty but as i went to service station they did not get agree. Then I faced problem in my Hard disk and after checking my laptop they confirmed the issue and reported that my hard disk is defective and give me replacement on 21.10.10 (Ref.No: 4621150212).
After few days again I reported problem in my battery...but they diagnose it and reported as problem in my charger not in battery and they replaced my charger on 25.10.10 (Sr.No: 4710, simtech computronics ahmedabad, dated 21.10.10).
Now I am again facing problem in my Hard disk. Its Bio test shows Hard disk is defective and it need to be replaced. How is it possible?? only one month before, my Hard disk has replaced by HP service station people and again i am facing same issue. That means i have been replaced with defective Hard disk. I have already complain at support desk (Ref NO: 4622860417)
Now I My battery is also reporting failure.

Delay in service
HP Laptop serial No.CNF9310L05 was deposited with authorized service center of HP M/s Intarvo Tehcnologies Ltd., SCO 121-22-23, 3rd Floor, Sector 34-A, Chandigarh vide token No.2016, Obligation type 02N dt.04.10.2010 with the fault that Battary not charging. The 11 days have been elapsed the same has not been set-right so far. Without Laptop my work is held up. please get the same set-right immediately.

Explosion of laptop
Hello Guys,

My HP laptop got exploded on 17th of July.

There was a explosion of battery three times explosion was so severe it would have killed the person on the spot.

Its pathetic laptop ...please guys Dont buy HP laptop for the sake of brand as it is like keeping atom bomb
in our home.

no Performance
Dear Sir,

This is with reference to the Invoice No. - PITM/09-10/2948. I purchased an HP laptop around 9 months back, the details of which are furnished below.
The laptop started giving problems within 1 month of purchase and now the problems have increased to such an extent that I repent spending Rs. 50000 on buying an HP laptop.

PROBLEMS:

1. Heats up very much in about an hour
2. Hangs frequently
3. CD Rom not working properly
4. Battery backup has decreased drastically
5. It has about 100 GB of free hard disk space but still it often becomes pathetically slow.

Even one year has not passed since I purchased this laptop and the list of problems is increasing day by day.

Does this poor quality of laptops and ever increasing list of problems suit the well acclaimed image HP has? HP is such a renowned name but after this experience I am so dissapointed that I'll have to think 100 times before buying an HP laptop.

I have not got any value of money spent and I am very frustrated and fed up of this laptop. I want this laptop to be replaced as soon as possible.

Kindly look into the matter and do the needful.
