Hello,
I've take this Notebook dv4 1131tx in November 2008 and as its been a year now I've still facing the same issue from the time I purchased the notebook.
The problem is of overheating and now in due course my notebook has started to freeze due to overheating and then shuts down. I've to wait for almost 20 mins before I can start.
I've reported the problem to HP tech support, almost 4 times for the same issue and they just have cleaned the vents and restored my system and given it back. But still today I'm getting the same problem.
The time I start the notebook there is a sound that starts from the vent(like a motor spining fast) and after 10-15 mins it becomes really hot and i can feel the hot air coming throught it and then it shows black screen for which i've to maually shut down and then restart it.
I've updated the bios and done all possible trouble shooting guided by HP techsupport.
I'm really frustrated and fed up of this notebook and it seems now i've to live with it.
I really need some guidance in how to go about this issue.
