HP Plasma Lawsuit
On 08-01-09 my HP PL4260N 42" plasma TV made a POP noise. The picture is now gone and the sound still works. I verified this on multiple inputs to the TV. First I thought I would just let it cool down and maybe it would work the next day. I looked online and saw that many people had the same problem and it was probably related to a Y Sustain board problem. Some of them had there Tv fixed for free by HP even though it was out of warranty.
I contacted HP on 08-02-09. They had me turn off the power disconnect all cables and hold the power button down. Then they told me that the problem was the Y Sustain board (a common problem that can be found from an internet search). They said I had two choices 1) Pay them $629 for 3 attempts to fix the TV with no guarantee or 2) contact an authorized dealer to buy a Y Sustain board and pay them to install it. They could not verify that it actually was the Y sustain board until someone looks at it though. I asked about other users who had similar problems and had it fixed for free. The representative told me that problem was related to a manufacturer's defect and that my unit did not have the same defect, even though it is the same problem. This sounded a little strange since it was the same problem and they haven't had a chance to examine my system so how do they know if the problem has the same cause or not.
I went to the HP executive contact site and wrote a complaint about the TV breaking after only 2 and 1/2 years. And explained that I was disappointed in their product and would like to know if they were willing to repair my TV.
The next day (08-03-09) I recieved a form response from the exec contact site and I called the number in the email to see if I could get a quick response to my complaint. I was transferred to a case manager. I asked if I could get a replacement Y Sustain board sent to me and I would be happy to install it myself. They said that their repair was the only solution that they could offer and she told me that they could offer the repair for 50% off. I asked if they would be willing to buy the broken TV back for a percentage of the original cost. They again said no. I asked about other people with the same problem and how they got their TVs with the same problem fixed. She told me that they were fixing the problem for free until January 09. I explained that my TV was working and I was happy then, but they said that HP stance is that the only offer they can offer is the repair cost of $315 for 3 tries with no refund. I also told her that I would be concerned about the TV breaking again in another 2 years and she said that she could only offer the repair with no refund. She also said that they could nto offer to sell me the replacement part.
I am upset because the TV specs state that it has 60, 000 hour display life. It only lasted 2 and 1/2 years. It is also a problem that HP admitted that they new about and were fixed up to a point for free. But, probably they found out that a lot of TVs had this problem and they are unwilling to fix it now. When the manufacturer knows of a problem of this sort they should have recalled the product.

Poor Product/ Poor Service
I purchaesd a Hp laptop on3/27/09 . 3m0. later a black spot showed up on screen, then the whole screen went to vertical lines, Wks and countless e-mails, phone calls. They refuse to fix there crappy product. I bought the extended warrenty from Office Depot, But guess what? they will not honor it either. I have never been talked down by some one as the hp service center. They wanted to charge me 435.00 for a new screen that is 3mos. old. I pd. over 800.00 w/warrenty. I did not fall for that crap, Only wish I found this web site before I bought a lap top. Oh did I mention this was my 2ed & last Hp product i will buy. However I will visit any site I can to complain.

regarding very bad experience of product and service centers
sir,
i want to register a complaint regarding bad experience against your company HP, as i have purchase a laptop( 5630s) on 08.07.09, after using one week i found that the left speaker, and some keys of laptop are not working, after one week on 16.07.09 i make contact with service centre addressed "IInd floor, dayal chamber, 3 way road opp. krishi bhavan, ram moahn rai marg, lucknow- 226001, PHONE NO. 0522-4051000/4051005". They were committed me to give my laptop back after repair on monday 20.07.09, but since monday to till now i am contacting to service center, and i also visit number of day but, they are not repair my laptop, they are making number of excuses from monday.
so i have request to you please help me, and solve my problem so that i will able to make my believe on HP.

Terrible Quality, Customer Service, Company
This company is lucky I'm not suing right now.
I bought this laptop a year and a half ago, and since then my power supply has broken FIVE times. The hard drive crashed recently (They sent it back with a TRIAL copy of Windows Vista, even though my Vista is fully registered.). The battery life is completely AWFUL, like hardly a HALF HOUR of battery life on a full charge (when the laptop actually charges).
My most recent problem has been the power supply literally smoking and not working.
DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM.
Their customer service policy is apparently non-existant.
Save yourself the trouble and buy a Mac or a Dell..

IS IDCA0795722. THE TECHNICIAN CAME AND TOLD THAT POWER POINT IS BURNT AND IT WILL BE REPLACE.IS THIS A PROPER WAY TO DEAL YOUR CUSTOMER ? OR THE MONITER SHOULD BE REPLACED? PLEASE JUSTYFY ME. Customer service
I recently purcahsed an HP laptop on July 4th using my husband's Credit card. We found it was denied since they couldn't verify that I had permission to use, whatever methods they used for verification were very inefficient. I had to spend 30 mins on the phone trying to explain to them I was his wife and was making the purchase and that my husband was out of the country and could not be reached on his cell phone. The people were extremely rude and actually hung up on me.
In the end my husband had to call them himself and explain to them he wasnt in the US and that he authorized me to handle the process. When he tried to file a complaint about the sort of service we had been given, he was actually hung up on too!
We're never buying anything off the HP website again, they're customer service is absolutely pathetic!

All In One printer
I bought an all in one Officejet J6480 printer on May 5, 2008, within months the paper jam went out. They sent me a replacement (which was a remanufactured one) within months that one went out with carrige jam. I don't use the printer very much, so it wasn't for overuse. I called Hp a number of times and kept getting the run around. Hardly speaking english, the person (from India, I believe) said that the year warranty was just up. Since they sent me a used one I think they should have guaranteed that one for a year, not another 5 months. So, as it stands, Hp only lasts 5 months each. I will never buy another Hp product. My computer is Hp and my last one was Hp. But, they don't stand by their products and I won't buy them again.

Scam
I've sent the same information to HP twice for a purchase made in August 2007 yet their website says that the rebate can't be processed. After considerable time, I finally located a phone number of the rebate center only to get a message that I must call back later. The computer/monitor bundle had two rebates. The one from Office Depot came with no problems but HP simply wants to wear the customer down by asking for info already sent.
I'm not stupid, I sent exactly what they asked for. What a scam. I use to think a lot of HP not now.
