Rip off
I recently bought an HP Printer from COSTCO. When I got it home and hooked up the application panel would not light up to perform any function (i.e. scan, copy, print). I contacted HP and, after extesive troubleshooting, was told it could not be fixed on-line. They said they would give me a coupon to go get another printer. The coupon turned out to be a joke, it was for printer cartridges and other support items for this printer. Still don't have a new printer. HP support ***! HP does not care about their customers only the money!

False Advertising
Last October 2010, I purchased an ink toner for my printer. They had an offer of a free wireless mouse if I purchase a package of HP color and black ink toner. It turned it was a false advertising! Calling their customer service was only a waste of my time. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. STAY AWAY CALLING THEM AS THEY ARE OUTSIDE USA AND IT WAS VERY HARD TO LET THEM UNDERSTAND.
As of now, I bought my supplies locally. It helps our community...

HP refuses to honor its rebate promise
I had an experience similar to others on this site and elsewhere.
I bought an HP bundle at Circuit City in February of 2008; it is now
September of 2008 and still no rebate.
I was supposed to receive $120, from 2 different rebate offers.
I'm still waiting. Every time I call I get a different person than the last time and a different reason why my rebate has been delayed.
First they didn't receive the rebate in the mail so I faxed it to them.
And each time I had to wait 4-6 weeks for it to show up in the system. That is they are a computer company right?
Next time I called they had received my rebate form and everything with it except for the receipt showing I bought the computer. Actually that had been faxed with the other info. So I faxed the receipt and waited another 4 weeks and called.
This time they did not receive the receipt. Now I have to fax all the information again.
UNLESS you are really hooked on HP products, I really think you would be better off with another brand of computer hardware.
Trying to get this rebate has been an aggravation no one needs to go through. My husband is disabled and I can't work because of my back and knees and we don't have the money to keep faxing HP rebate forms that -- if they were not so disorganized -- they would have had to begin with.
I will never buy HP again.

mini netbook
only had netbook since december 2010, son had accident with water. they phoned me back saying water damage warrenty did not cover this. its only 3 months old !! they wanted me to pay £199 for a new hard drive and keyboard. the hard drive is fine it works it loads !! just needs new keyboard. i refused to pay and it was sent back. my 18 yr old son re installed windows and on screen keyboard it works fine. I'm still paying for this netbook from my catulogue and yet the warrenty did not cover anything. i was being charge for something that did not need repairing. i keep sending HP emails complaining about the service i received and about their warrenties they never have email me back they just ignore me. I am 1 very unhappy customer

Computador Pavillion
Em dezembro de 2010 coloquei um Desktop da HP, que estava na garantia, para conserto. Até hoje ( 19 de fevereiro de 2011) não obtive nenhuma informação, tive que ligar a duas semanas atrás e me disseram para aguardar mais 20 dias úteis. CONCLUSÃO: NUNCA MAIS VOU COMPRAR UM PRODUTO HP!!! Nem com 10 anos de garantia. A falta de respeito com o cliente é uma marca registrada nos dias de hoje. LAMENTAVELMENTE A MARCA QUE ASSOCIO A HP.

printer all in one
hp all in one..not repairable..said they would send one in 3 days..3 weeks later no printer..tec guy did not even order me one! WTF. Called them, tried 5 times to talk to a supervisor..none would answer! Two hrs of holding while they discussed with supervisors..dumb asses. I canceled everything. Good luck to anyone who tries to talk with hp..

Today is Feb 15, 2011 - Purchased a HP Pavilion PC Oct 2009 and within the warranty period it has gone through 2 motherboards. The computer again began to freeze with a blue screen. I contacted HP support and the tech I was assigned would not assist me unless I purchased a $100.00 1 yr warranty extension. I don't even know why I bothered to inform them the PC is on its third motherboard and HP needs to step up and take care of the problem. The tech's response was if you purchase the extended warranty which will cover HP's Tech Support we can begin to diagnose the problem. TERIBBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! TERIBBLE PRODUCT!!! I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER HP PRODUCT...looks like I will be purchasing MAC's from now on!!!

$$$ Duplicate charges
After spending time with HP support regarding a computer (out of warranty by days) I am sending in for repair I checked the charges on my banking info. They had charged me twice. I phoned them, spent over an hour and got nowhere. I called my bank who can't do anything unless HP is also on the phone to say it was an error and to refund it. $350.00 may not be much for some, but the double charge and HP doing nothing to correct the error today only cements my resolve to never purchase HP products again. BEWARE

Printer Support Destroys Machine
The printer support team was trying to get my HP printer to work under Windows 7. In the process they deleted some files making the machine so it boots to a black screen. They ruined my machine which I will have to rebuild. They didn't fix the problem and they won't refund my $39.00
