HP Pavillion laptop HP officejet
Absolutely terrifying experience with HP laptop and printer both under warrenty . Emotional abuse waitting and waitting for the products to work, with no outcome of returning them back. No case manager or supervisor ever calls back. Hours and days spent on the phone. Printer sent via mail with missing parts and nobody wants to be responsible.

Plasma tv no picture
Have an HP Hd plasma tv moderl 4260N. worked great until last week now have no picture and dish network tried to help solve the problem, but I now realize I bought a lemon. The internet is full of dissatisfied customers. It is only 3 years old, and cost me around $1300, it was on sale, maybe Best Buy knew about the problem too. What to do fix or buy another?

HP printer after sales repairs problems
I took my HP MFC Pro 7580 to DG Sharaf where i purchased it for repairing a print problem. After paying an additional AED 700 and 5 weeks i received back supposedly a new printer and when i did a print test it had the exact same fault that i had reported when i left the printer for repair. NOw neither HP or DG Sharaf or the HP agent will take any responsiblity for refunding my AED 700 or repairing my printer.
Details
30th May 2008 - purchased the HP MFC Pro 7580 printer for AED 979 from DG Sharaf in Dubai.

17th April 2010 i contacted the retailer DG Sharaf 04 3418060 they advise that the printer which was just 20 months old was out of warrantee and offered to send to HP agent to repair.

On May 5th i was called by DG Sharaf to advise that the HP Agent Reddington 04 258 6058, had advised the printer was not able to be repaired but as a gesture of good faith they would replace it with a new printer same model if we paid an additional AED 700. Without an option give i stocked up over aed 2000 of 88 print cartridgees.

7th May went to DG Sharaf and paid the AED 700.

May 18th we were called by DG Sharaf to collect printer
May 19th collected the printer
May 19th did a print test at home and the printer had the same print fault that we had reported when we put the printer in for repair.

Laptops
HP LAPTOP - and how to fight back...
-----------------
Like thousands (perhaps tens of thousands) of people all over the web, I bought an HP laptop that went wrong.
It was returned, and not fixed properly. Then the staff were rude, hung up and thought it was funny to laugh at my pregnant wife getting exasperated with them. Finally ended up using the credit card company (well done Amex!) to dispute the charge as HP were in breach of contract by not honouring the guarantee. While I don't doubt that the customer service team are tasked with stalling complaints (so they fall outisde of warranty) I'm still really annoyed that they had to be so rude and ignorant.

So, how can you still fight back?

HP advertise heavily on Google and Yahoo. When you do a search for 'laptop' or 'computer' you'll generally see their adverts (Google calls them sponsored links, yahoo sponsored results). Now if you click on an HP link you'll cost them about £1 / $1.50 per click. Petty huh?

Well yes, but let's say 1000 people start to do this twice every single day, that's £730, 000 / $1, 100, 000 out of their marketing budget in a year. money that's just gone to waste. Even by myself I'll cost them about £730 a year (more than the cost of their poxy laptop).

Simply typle 'laptop' or other very generic consumer computer term into google, click on the sponsored link and browse around their site for 3 or 4 pages. (You can't simply repeat clicking, or click to their page and leave straight away - Google is a bit too smart and wont charge them for repeated clicks) . Seriously that's all you need to do. Get into a routine, every time you log-in to facebook, or other regulalry visited site, don't forget to cost HP some money.

Even if you don't have the time to do this, rest assured HP, I'm doing this every single day, and grinning everytime I click through to your website.

Good luck with your own HP complaint and I hope this article helps you vent your anger slightly!

NB - As a complete aside, I bought an HP printer for a Mac about 15 years ago. It broke, I got in contact, it was replaced the SAME DAY. Wow! I told all my friends, and declared my loyalty to them. How did a company that was once so good, go to be such a shambles?

selling old stock
I bought a HP Photosmart Pro B8350 printer 6 months ago from curry's. It has now decided to refuse to take any new hp colour ink cartridge . while complaining to HP. they e-mailed me a telephone number. guess what it was a call center in India.
They asked me for the product code which i happily gave them. HP india said this printer is out of warranty, Its 4 years old...
So is it my fault that either Currys or HP have had this printer stored in a warehouse somewhere and is it normal for somebody while buying a printer to ask to look at the back of the printer, then run of and check the age of the product ?.
I believe that the warranty is from the date of sale not from a factory product number..
can anybody help me..all i want to do is print!! please e-mail with any advice

2 x DV9000 Screen No Graphics
I bought two HP Dv9000 Laptops in 2007 and both have stopped working after the Warranty period both with the same issue, the screen started getting garbled graphics then both end with blank screens when plugging an external monitor into the aux output there is graphics but garbled.

I have laid the complaints with HP and have also found out that many others had the same issue which seems to be caused by a problem with the Nvidia chip, but they do not want to repair it as it is out of warranty which i feel is not correct as the issue is a manufature fault.

Based on this experience I will never ever purchase another HP product
I purchased a HP DV6 1352Dx Laptop from Best Buy in November 2009. It was a wonderful computer that was purchased with the sole intent of replacing a desktop computer. A little over two weeks ago the screen went haywire and started rolling. It was impossible to use the internal display but an external worked fine. I contacted HP Tech support and after trying several things to resolve the issue it was determined that the unit needed to be sent in for repairs. HP provided the return shipping box and paid for the return shipping. Cosmetically the laptop was the same as it had been the day it was taken out of the box from the store. I packaged the unit in the provided box and took it to the local FEDEX facility. Several days later I received a phone call and a follow-up email with pictures telling me that my laptop could not be repaired under warranty because of the screen damage.

I tried to explain and emphasize the fact to the person that the unit was not shipped damaged but she refused to acknowledge that it was damaged in shipping. It took 30 1/2 hours from the time of receipt till the picture was taken documenting that the screen was broken. The $583 computer less than 30 days old will cost $428 to repair when the damage evidently happened during the return shipping. This is totally unfair and there is no reasoning with HP Repair.

Based on this experience I will NEVER EVER purchase another HP product.

Unit a piece of crap
Bought new HP Combo unit back in January and it was a piece of junk from the minute it came through the door. It is an HP CM1312NHI MFP. It won't let us fax out or receive faxes in. It won't let us scan back to our network or to the customer. I WILL NEVER purchase another thing from HP. My people have spent 10-12 hours this week talking to people they can hardly understand trying to get this working correctly. We even had professional people that we hired try to fix it with the same identcle results.

DO NOT BUY ANY HP PRODUCTS!!!
