Worst most fraudulent customer service experience ever. Purchased a pavillion dv6 notebook about a month ago for $806, two weeks after purchase I damaged its LCD screen in an acccident. Sadly I contacted HP first, my timing could have been better I accidently decided to call HPs India arm of customer service right at party time. A party that continued through my entire call, once I could not even hear the HP rep's lousy english over laughter. I was at first shocked to find out that in no way could the LCD screen be repaired or replaced and I would be forced to purchase a replacement computer for $436.81. Imagine my surprise 2 weeks later when my $436.81 "replacement" computer turned out to be my old computer with a mysteriously repaired LCD. I call customer service back to complain and they argue with me for over 20 mins on how I know it is not a new computer??? Do they not use serial numbers in India or Bangledesh or where ever this "American" company has its Customer service phone centers, and on that note I knew that until I spoke with an american rep. this was all a waste of time. 3 hours later after working my way through 3 "escalations" I finally spoke to an american, he knew the company had lied to and stolen from me. Regardles 2 days later he contacted me to let me know HP corporate had decided to not investigate my case, no real reason why they just would not do it. What ever happened to customer service and admitting that you screwed up? Oh right if they admit they made a mistake they'd have to pay for it.
