lies
On the 19th March HSBC, deducted 29000 plus dirhams out of my account. This was to reduce a loan I had with them. The excuse they gave for doing this without any authorisation was that they had been trying to get hold of me, 'umpteen times, said Shiva, the floor manager. Its funny how they had my ex-wifes number, had not updated my po box address, said they sent an email and even though they had my correct mobile number had never managed to contact me. All this while it was clear I was still in the country as transactions were being done on my account. The reason they decided to deduct my account with this amount, while strangely leaving my other accounts untouched, is because they thought I had left the country and would be leaving a bad debt, yeah guys thats why I was paying money in! Lies that they tried to contact me umpteen times and blatant lies on the phone when I rang upset to find out what on earth they were doing with my account. If some halfwit had actually taken the trouble to actually ring and check my account activity they would see I was still in the country. I shall be closing my account afte 8 years with these idiots.

Nobody cares about missing money
HSBC made several fixed monthly telegraphic payments to Standard Chartered Bank in the first quarter of this year for me, both HSBC and SCB accounts are in Dubai and are in my name. Three of the payments never hit the receiving account but have been debited to my HSBC account. It's now the end of October and it still is unresolved, they have just lost my money. People take the details, go on holiday and don't reply, complaint emails and faxes are simply ignored (after carefully being given a 'complaint number' by the bank). These people are a complete disaster, the staff have no pride in their work and no respect for their customers. Their just saying 'sorry' all the time does absolutely nothing.

Unauthorized charges "Credit Cover"
Re: HSBC
One of your bank agent called me over the phone sometime back regarding "CREDIT COVER" and I declined the offer. Despite that around Dhs.25/- was deducted from my credit card account 5409-0850-0019-7811. Then I called again 8004722 and spoke to another of HSBC agent; I was assured that it will be returned back/ revert to the credit card. The assurance was false, again around Dhs.25/- has been deducted and to sum up these unapproved credit cover deductions have taken the credit card account over the limit.
I demand that since the credit cover deductions from my credit card unapproved and unauthorized by me (HSBC Customer) and the resulting credit shield deductions (Around AED250/-) due to the deductions - must be credited back to my credit card account. Kindly ensure that my request is attended immediately in order that it abides by the Central Bank rules and regulations.
Awaiting HSBC positive response soon!
