Excessive phone calls!
HSBC (phone number 800-684-8429) calls our number three to four times a day at all times of the day. HSBC asks for a certain person that does not live at our home and does not have our phone number. We have told them this on numerous occasions. They were told this three times yesterday, 1-26-08, but they called again the night of 1-26-08 and again the morning of 1-27-08. This has been going on for at least six months. Our number is on both the national and the state do not call list. We would like the harassment to stop. We have no relation whatsoever with HSBC, nor do we want one now or ever.

Disgusting level of customer service!
My HSBC Master Gold Card was charged twice with an amount of AED 3611.98 and since 11/12/07 i am in constant touch the bank staff, even visited the Sharjah Br.Met one Ibrahim.D-Customer service agent on 03/01/08 who agreed to bring the stars from the sky (big mouth). Another lady by name Anita called me and informed me to keep me posted on the development but until date the status remain the same where i started on 11/12/07.

The worst customer service I have ever come across in the UAE. The better vocabulary cannot be used in this print media.

Poor HSBC Dubai service!
HSBC Dubai are without a doubt the worst bank I have ever had the misfortune to bank with. Having been an HSBC banker in the UK, I assumed that the level of professionalism would be the same. WRONG!!!

On the 27th December as normal a transfer was made from my UAE account to my UK account to cover my UK mortgage. Having checked my account in the UK 5 days later I noticed that my funds were far less than they should have been. On checking in more detail I noticed that the transfer from the UAE had not reached my UK account. On contacting HSBC I was told that the money had been transfered, so I began to explain that this was not the case. I was told that we would look into this for you and call you back. No call back. So I called again, this time I was told there was a problem with the sort code and could I confirm it please. I then asked how could there be an issue with the sort code when you had carried out the same transfer for the last 5 months. The answer I received was that of silence, followed by I am sorry but we are looking into it for you. Well this conversation went on for 20mins and no end result, but they assured me I would get a call back. Call back never happened, so once again I called HSBC, I again asked what was happening to my money, we are looking into it for you. Ok let me speak to a supervisor (if thats what you would call him), yes sir your money has been transfered. hang on I was just told there was still an issue, o'yes I can see that there is a problem with the sort code. Here we go again. Here I am on the 9th Jan, 14 days since the money was taken from my account and still it has not been transfered. However they have been quick enough to deduct the transfer charge, and when I ask who will pay my UK bank charges the reply is I am sorry Sir can you give us 24hrs. If you want a word of advise do not bank with HSBC especially if you value your money. Very POOR!!!

Excessive Phone Calls
Please............This is a computer genned call and I AM SICK OF THE HARRASSMENT.

Happens morning, noon and night and the FCC should investigate the harrassment.

Application-Forged information
I bought a truck in 03. And they never mailed my application to me. I went to try to get another car and use this truck as trade in. Sales manager advised that the pmt was way too much for what I told him I made. He said it didnt make sense, he said I bet someone changed your application so you could qualify. He advised me to get a copy of my application. I did, when it was faxed over to me, it had the amount I put in crossed out and in someone else's writing and much darker pen, a greater amount in the section. I got copies of my paystubs for that time frm my employer and they didnt match up with it at all. I tried to talk to HSBC and they say I would have qualified anyway. And Maxwell Ford, no one will return my call. So, I am looking for legal advice. This is a scam. And, even if I did qualify, then why did they feel they had to change my income and not give me any information it had to be done or something.

Rip off!
I have been a victim of the HSBC debt cancellation program. Few months after purchasing my Yamaha bike through a dealership I was going to pay off my balance and noticed that I was been charged a debt cancellation fee every month. I am very sure that I never signed any paper for such program. The customer service agent told me that I was enrolled into this program on the same day I applied for finance by a telemarketing call and it would take up to 6 weeks for them to send me the proof. In the mean time if I don't pay the debt cancellation fee then I would be charged interest on that. My promotional offer will end in few days. I am not sure how and where I can place a complaint regarding this scam!

Interest rates!
I have had this masyercard for almost 3 yrs. Never late, never overlimit. But they saw within their infinite wisdom to raise my interest rate almost 10% for some unknown reason. They tell you they will send you a letter why, but all it tells you is to contact the credit bureau. So I immediately canceled that card. But the visa I have they lowered the interest. Stay away from this company. They have unethical billing practices.

Credit Card
I filled out an application for a HSBC Gold Credit Card on their website. Within a week, an agent called requesting me to furnish all the documents needed for processing my application. I advised him to call me 2 days later as i was out of town then. In the meantime, Citibank came up with an offer of a lifetime free card and i chose to go with them. When the agent from HSBC called again for the documents, i advised him to cancel the request and told him that i was not interested in the card anymore as i went with Citibank. The agent told me that he would cancel my application with HSBC.

2 months later, i receive a mini card statement from HSBC on my mobile, the message read "HSBC Pre-statement alert: Outstanding on your Card no. ************8680 on 8-NOV-07 is 586.07. Pay full or min amt due of 100.00 by 30-NOV-07."

I was shocked to reveive this message and wasted no time in calling HSBC Customer Care (080 2558 9696). I spoke with Debushree and advised her of my concern - She said that card ending 8680 was indeed issued after being successfully processed. I told her that i had not provided any supporting documents needed for HSBC to even process the card and more, I had not received the Card and neither did anyone at home sign to receive the card! She was very apologetic and assured me that the card would be blocked with immediate effect. I also requested her to cancel the card.

I am still worried if HSBC will continue to haunt me by sending me bills for a card that i never provided supporting documents for and that i never actually received!!

My friends have had bad experiences with this Bank, especially with the rude behavior of their collection agents in particular.

Personally, i would never want to do business with HSBC in the near future!!
