Overcharged
I filed my taxes this year and when I requested a RAL I was denied by this bank because my husband owed a fee to them way back in 2004. Come to find out this fee was charged off in 2005. If a fee was assessed, he was never notified. When I spoke to the representative on the phone she told me the notice was sent to an address I had never lived at, and my husband had never lived at. Then I found out that this fee ($49) was included in a bankruptcy also. Long story short, the bank just flat out denied our RAL for no apparent LEGITIMATE reason. The rep told us we should get our check (sent to the tax preparer) in one week. We'll see!! Sounds to me like they just flat out deny everyone for any reason, even if they have to pull one out of their @*#, and then they charge you for it.

PREDATORY LENDING
HSBC TOOK MY MONEY FOR YEARS NOT PAYING ANYTHING ON MY PRINCIPAL. IF I WAS TO PAY $186.00 A MONTH THEY TOOK $183.00 FOR THEMSELVES. NOTHING EVER CAME OFF MY PRINCIPAL. THEY ARE VERY RUDE AND I AM CURRENTLY UNEMPLOYED I NEVER MISSED A PAYMENT WITH THEM KNOWING FULL WELL THEY WERE A SCAM. I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY AGAIN. THEY HAVE $5, 000.00 TAKEN OVER A TWO YEAR PERIOD. THAT IS FRAUD. I HP[E THERE WILL BE CLASS ACTION AGAINS T ALL OF THESE TERRIBLE COMPANIES

Mentally harassment from HSBC bank
It’s really a mental harassment from HSBC bank…

Let me explain why…

I have a primary credit card (************ 8537) with HSBC bank from last one and half year. I was shopping with that primary card any paying the bills as usual. Last year April/May (not sure about the month) I got shocked when I open the bill statement received from HSBC bank. I got a bill statement of Rs.75000/- from HSBC bank. Immediately I called HSBC customer care and informed the same. They said, on your name one more card (add on card) got released to your address. I asked about the courier details, went to the courier office, and got the details from the courier office. But the bank has given wrong address and courier had delivered it to same address (not my address). That stupid fellow (recipient of the card) received the card and purchased what ever he waned and billed around Rs.75000/- with in 4 days of time. But the bill statement sent to my address.

But I did not get any call from HSBC bank regarding that add on card. And did not get even SMS or a call after billed Rs.75000/-.

Finally the bank customer care people (Nandini/Meena – from Chennai branch) told that we will investigate the case and asked me to send one hand written statement about the issue. I did the same and sent a hand written fax to Nandini and Meena. After few days I got a call from one person (Tushar – from Bangalore branch) and told me that, “ we are investigating the case and will close this as soon as possible. If you get any bill statement please ignore. If anybody comes for bill collection please inform them Tushar is investigating on that so please contact him ”. After few days the collection department came to my home for the bill collection, I told the same as Tushar told me. This happened continues 2 months and after that no body has come for the collection. I thought may be case has been closed. But still I am getting the bill statements.


Now, I applied for a personal loan (this is my first loan in my career) they enquired and rejected my application since this amount details has been updated in CIBIL credit history. You know, In future also I cannot get any loan or related things from any bank regarding this bad credit history.


So, Last week I called the HSBC customer care and asked about the status of my case and about the credit history.

They said that card had closed. But still I did not get any letter from HSBC regarding the issue. I had sent a hand written fax last year June(2008), so its one year completed but still no response from HSBC bank.


I called Bangalore branch as well as Chennai branch customer care department. But they are really help less. They were telling that we don’t have the details about this issue you contact recovery department and they have given some phone numbers (08066432110-Bangalore, 04443912086-Chennai) but nothing is working and no response from HSBC people…

Questionable Charges
I have been a cardholder of Red Mastercard for 2 to 3 years now. Last purchase using this card was made in August 2008. However, to my disappointment, after only 2 months of not being able to pay the bill, my account was transferred to the legal collection office of HSBC which is based in Davao. 16, 000 php was the amount that I had to pay last Dec. 2008. Other credit card companies are kinder to their clients. Since then, I have been consistently paying my bill with 2000 php or more a month.

Just when I thought my bill would be so small, a call was made by Mercy of Davao last July 28 using the landline #0822210145, informing me that I need to pay 4, 500 php to close the account. She made it sound that it is a good offer by HSBC Head Office who lowered it to such amount from 8000 php. I have not seen my bill statements for a year now. But simple calculations would tell us that it cannot be 8000 php, not even 4500 php. HSBC is not even doing me a favor. I expect the amount to be as low as 3000 including the charges, or zero minus the charges.

I told her to send me my bill statement to my new address or fax it. I want to see the charges, and know how computation was done. However, I haven’t received anything from her since then. I have heard of the settlement offered by HSBC to other clients. They were simply asked to pay for the principal amount. I think the company has profited a lot already from the charges that I have been paying. I hope that this time, the charges are waived, and I only have to pay the principal amount if there still is, considering the payments I have made.

not issued no duess certificate
my name rajesh kumar a/c no hsbc card 4384599999607814. i m pilot and
was in mumbai base.but up to june 2008, i was not receved bill from
hsbc. in july 1st week i trahsferd 2 delhi. Due to flying
i m unable io track every cred card bill without getting physically.
which i not got till 31 june 2008.I have good credit limit and
relation in bank.then i got call from hsbc mumbai taout duess which i
was unaware because i not got any bill. Isummarry i got phone and
email for settalment on 09/02 2009, from mr rohit phone no
09833359466, I confirm ready for
settalment of RS 48230/, which i deposit on 13/02 2009, in hsbc branch

Now already 5 months gone till now i not receved NO DUESS
CERTIFICATE. Still now about 25000 dues reflecting. PLS send
me no due CERTIFICATE, assoon as possible, on my smail

ERROR ON REPORT
I have two from HSBC that should not be on my report.
1. is for my son lap top which he is paying for Not Me!! He has sent out a $350 payment yesterday and another to go out within the next 2weeks.
2.is HSCB for my wife car, in which they said she did not have car insurance and charge her for this . we sent in paper work to the fact that we have insurance. was told this would come off the report and it has not. please remove it

Credit Card
I held their credit card for over 15 years. I always paid them even through extended periods of unemployment. In june of last year they raised me to 32% interest not because of non-payment but because I was only sending a little over the minimum. When I tried to negiotiate with them, they were nasty, condescending and disgusting. I tried several times. I even proposed that they should close the card and put me back to my original interest rate and I would pay them. They told me there was no room for negotiation. I did not pay them for one month because I could not get anyone's attention. I then got a credit card counseling service involved that has only succeeded in getting me in chargeoff. I have now gotten a different agency involved. We called HSBC the other day to try again and they just got nasty and hung up the phone. I have never dealt with such disgusting people. They are the only credit issue I am having. I hope they go out of business. I was a long standing customer and was treated like garbage.

Horrible company
This is a horrible deplorible company... unacceptable.. I have been with HSBC Orchard Credit Card company for over four years. I payed a payment twice in the same month and they were not going to put my payment through for 7-14 days... my bank cleared it, but Orchard does this so they can make interest and lots of it 29.99 percent, my interest went up because I was .21 cents over and they charged me an over the limit fee of 19.99 dollars and this is the first time that has ever happened in four years. I got them to reverse the fee and the supervisor told me to call back the next day and they would reverse the APR back to 14.99 but when i called the manager said they would not reverse the APR back to 14.99 percent that it would now be 29.99 percent. Is there no justice any more with bad company's like this? Thank God for Rip Off Report, but a lot of people like me and others need help in putting these company's out of business. Outsourcing to India etc. just is bad business for us Americans, kind of shows what kind of company they are, plus they do not have an 800 number when calling to speak to a Rep. . I did this to help build my credit and instead they are ripping me and lots of others off. Very Unacceptable business... stay away and do your research, back four years ago, i do not believe there were many reports, maybe not, but from what I've read of others problems with HSBC Orchard Credit Card and my own, HSBC Orchard Credit Card Company needs to be held accountable their thieving actions and other wrong actions. This is a gross business... stay away... And if their are any attorneys reading all of this, I pray you would help all of us in regards to HSBC Orchard Bank Credit Card Company
in their foul and deceptive practices... I will be contacting all legal parties to hopefully keep them on top of this situation.

Terrible bank
My payment account was overdrawn about $50. Once my tax refund was deposited into my savings account they dug their hands in it and took the money that was owed. They closed my checking and my multiple savings accounts and will not let me withdrawl the money that is in there. They said that I still owe them the overdraft fee and they have no records of it being paid. What a bunch of lies. So basically they have stolen my hard earned money. Please stay clear of this bank they are out to get as much of your money as they can.
