Ok~ Turn to the discussion, the tv show, Issue about the<< Lipstick Jungle>> why Victory ford and joe benntt”s break up.
Joe was portrayed as your typical billionaire who thought he could buy anything including a person's affection. He bought her business as a way to take care of her without ever considering the fact that she might have had just as much pride as he did and might not have wanted to be taken care of financially. Victory wanted Joe as a partner in life, not a business partner. She felt like she was his property instead of his soul mate, which was not OK with her. As she watched him disconnect more and more from her loved ones and saw him make all of these elaborate business decisions, she probably felt like the only way she could ever fit into his life was if she was a business arrangement, so she dumped him.
Unfortunately, the show was poorly written and Victory came across as a self obsessed, indecisive narcissist who flip flopped back and forth between wanting to be a strong woman and wanting to be taken care of by anyone and everyone who was willing to be her accessory. She was clearly bipolar and naive. She said she didn't want to be taken care of, but her actions strongly suggested otherwise. She was needy, clingy, obsessive, impulsive, and in desperate need of guidance through out the show's entire run. She cried in pretty much every episode and was constantly running to other people to fix her problems. Wendy and Nico had to work overtime to deal with her BS as did poor Roy. Victory had major issues.
So about the question, Victory broke up with Joe because what he did was wrong, but because she was such a horribly written character on such a horribly written show, her convictions didn't matter anyway and the breakup was pointless
