I found myself locked out of my house last night in Westborough, MA.
Called the local guys but since they were out I googled for a locksmith and found run-local-locksmith.
I gave them my address and was informed that there will be a visitation fees of 15$ and the price for opening a single lock would be 35$.
This all seem pretty standard so I asked them to come over.Within the next 35 minutes one of their locksmiths came over . He didn't seem much interested in trying to open the lock instead he pulled out his drill and told me that he would charge me a 150$ for drilling through 1 lock and if there was a second lock that he would give me a discount and charge me 285$.
With a little 3 month old baby, a tired wife and old parents I found myself in a sticky situation, it was like extortion.He told me straight up that he was in rush and wanted to get back to his Celtics game. With no options at hand and the clock ticking past 9 pm and the mercury dropping below freezing I agreed to this shake down.
He spent all off 10 seconds (switching on his drill and setting the drill bit and drilling included).
Took a 150$ off me and was gone like the wind.
Rude + Greedy + Opportunistic is how I would define the company. And when I finally called the company to tell them about my experience with their l0cksmith the response I got baffled me completely.The guy told me "No One forced you to take the service", wow...
I will not be reaching out for my phone to lend these folks's number to any of my friends in need.
Good luck with your search for good hardworking locksmiths but this is not the place for it.
