Huntington Beach Ford Reviews

Bunch of scheming a-holes!
I went to buy a used super duty Ford from Huntington Beach Ford on May 12, 2011, and experienced much of what has been posted here. I should have researched them as I sure researched the used trucks I was looking for. HB Ford ended up having pretty much the exact truck I was looking for. I contact them online, do an online application, and send them my trade-in information. I get a call from their internet dept and we go over numbers. I say "I'll take it" and immediately drive to HB Ford.

After sitting in a cubicle size office for 2.5 hours, I left without the truck. They changed every part of the deal. Then tried to make me feel bad for leaving without a deal.

I will NEVER go back. I'm 44 years old and HB Ford was the worst dealer I have ever dealt with. They are nothing but scammers down there. But they do have some really nice used trucks!

SCAM, RUN, !!
Did you notice all the websites these guys have?

That is TRICK they use to bury the negative reviews. This dealership is the scum of the scum.

Every trick in the book they will use to scam you. Just try and get a price. What payment do you

want? $300 month sound fair. Ok ten years of payments. They are the classic bait and switch. They run adds for deep discounts than will lie, cheat and steal you into a price that is Thousands

over invoice…OR…Oh YA just try and trade a car in on your purchase. They will never tell you the price! Heck they will try and charge you for your trade.

You will get, that old “Your new payment is”

Be prepared to be treated like a fool. Don’t bother

Remembering the names of the guys that are scamming you as they are not even real. “ I ran out of business cards, ” this is my T.O manager, Oscar “curious George, ” “My name is fast Eddie cause I can keep you in the dealership for six hours till you are so tired and hungry you will sign anything.”

Homeland security, HA… just send the terrorists to these guys and they will get them to sign anything.

Mention all the negative info on the internet and watch them squirm. Let them tell you that is all their competition M-F-ING them cause they sell so many more cars then them.

Read on, read every scum bag, negative story about car guys and apply it to this dealership.

PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! Don’t be a sucker. Go buy a ford from one of the other dealers. They might get you but at least you can feel your butt when they are done because these guys “WILL RAPE YOU” By rape I mean rip you off so bad you will feel violated.

Sold me a lemon
I bought a 2010 Ford Escape in the fall of '09 and the transmission began jerking soon thereafter. Huntington Beach Ford rebuilt the transmission or so they claim but the problem persisted, I lost two days of work, the resale value of the car has been compromised and the dealership now refuses to deal with me. I brought it back in last week, they said they'd have the car for two hours, and it ended up being all day, forced me to miss a day of work, ticked off my boss, their courtesy shuttle failed to pick me up, forcing me to walk two miles to the dealership to pick up my car at which point they stated they could not reproduce the problem. The service manager came in and wanted to shake my hand, when i refused because i was certainly not in the mood, he walked out and refused to discuss the car with me. I contacted Ford corporate consumer complaint department, after two weeks they finally got back to me, and stated the dealership refused to deal with me any further.

Dishonest Dealership
After visiting Huntington Beach Ford a few times, I agreed on the price of a vehicle with the salesperson on the phone. When I went in to buy the truck, an individual came in by the name of Phil and said it would be a few thousand dollars more. Even with the salesperson standing right there. When asked why the change, Phil said he can't sell a truck that he can't make money on. When I asked why the salesperson made the deal on the phone, he said he did not know and the saleperson just stood there staring into space. It was ridiculous. Later the salesperson stated that they are told to do whatever needs to be done to get the folks in. The entire team in HBF are unprofessional. According to the staff there, many have been recruited from Reno. The ethical and professional Ford people will not work there. The financing that I was promised as well was a full point and half higher from Wells Fargo Dealer Services. Just fyi, you can refinance any purchase at BofA for around 3.25% with scores of 700 or higher. It only takes 2 days once you have the registration. HBF has higher rates because they keep a piece of deal if they can get you to pay more. I negotiated the price back and fixed all their attempts to take advantage of me, but I have to say that this is a dealerhip to avoid at all cost. They are an embarassment to the Ford name. One last thing like some of the other comments on the site, anything that they promise they will do for you, get it in writing from them. If you do not, they will not honor anything that was said to get you to sign the contract.

Bunch of crooks
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME W/these liars, they're just crooks.

They advertise the lowest prices online to lure you in and once they get you into finance room they throw over $8, ooo ontop of the price thru undisclosed "care package" "paint protection" bull and alot of other charges that they can't even explain. JUST OUTRIGHT CRIMINALS, DISGUSTING INDIVIDUALS.

Calling them lowlifes would be generous. AVOID AT ALL COST.

They took forever supposedly "processing the paperwork" when in reality they are just running a scam on people.

Do yourselves a big favor and stay far away from these disgusting crooks and let others know too. I really hope this helps others.

Rude service
My wife and I went to look for a used F250. We looked at and test drove a truck we liked. We decided to see what financing they offered (we have a 749 credit score). Their web site said they had a 4.9, but that was never mentioned or offered.

Russel our salesman, was very rude and disrespectful. He often shook his head and rolled his eyes when we did not answer his questions the way he wanted us to, such as "If we can put this deal together, would you be willing to buy the truck tonight?" and we answered "maybe". Russel asked the same question three times and we kept saying "maybe". He signed and left the room in a huff. Like I said he was rude.

When we spoke with Shaun in finance, we asked about the needed corrections to a few problems with the truck. Shaun very nearly insisted we buy the truck without any assurance that the items would be fixed (most of which were small dollar items) He wanted us to sign, then find out the next day if they would fix the items. Finally he agreed to make a call to someone who could make a decision. All of the paperwork was printed on a printer which produced a very poor copy and very hard to read. When I mentioned he needed a new printer, he said, that it printed just the way he wanted it to print, WHAT? You want it to print so I can't read it?

Next, after we were almost done, they surprised me with a extra charge for some kind of "special coating" for $695. It was already applied and the cost was added to the cost of the truck as an extra. So we had agreed on a price and now I am stuck with an extra I did not want.

I got one key, just one. If I want another key, I will have to buy a 100 dollar key from them.

Lastly, and most importantly, When I inspected the truck, it had an alarm on it. After I signed the paperwork, the alarm was gone. They removed the alarm and I am left with two little holes in the dash. I agreed to buy a truck which clearly had an alarm on it, I received a truck without an alarm. Nobody said they were removing the alarm at any time. When I tried to find out what was going on 4 phone calles and no messages returned, no return calls, nothing. I went to the dealer today and they claim there was not an alarm. I SAW the alarm with my own eyes and I have had an alarm company confirm that there was an alarm.

They are unethical, rude, and untruthful. Do your homework before you shop there and satay away from Russel

Poor service
I went there to buy a truck. We agreed on price, went to finance to pay. Once there, they tried to increase the price by $1500 for Teflon paint coating, which they claimed was already applied. This was total BS -- they were just trying to get more money.

Sales Manager offered to let us have the Teflon for only $499 -- we walked and will never do business with them again. These guys are scum. I was able to get the same price at another Ford dealer with no Teflon. Don't waste your time with these guys.

Life is too short to waste with dealers like this.
