Let me begin by saying that this complaint is all about the Service center. The sales department I believe is great when purchasing a new vehicle. My issue is that I brought my cobalt in for service in April to for a check because the RPM would fluctuate and I knew there was a issue with the left strout. When I picked up the vehicle they said it was all set. After reviewing the receipt they could not replicate the problem, so why tell me its all set? So I bring the car back in and tell them to take the wheel off and look and the bushing needs replacing. Didn't think it would take a rocket scientist to do that. They needed to order the parts. So I bring the car back on 5/21/10 and they do no inform me of a recall because power steering can fail on the vehicle. They take the car fix it, call me to pick the car up and I pay over the phone and specifically say I can be there in 20 mins and he says no problem. I get there, lots of employees there but no one has the key for the office where my key is to pick up the car. All they can say is that the only person with key has left for the day.

Beware
About 5 weeks after my initial purchase, I started hearing loud chirping sounds coming from the engine at idle or at low speeds. I brought the car back to Hurd for an evaluation, thinking it a minor problem that could either be fixed on the spot or for a minimal charge. I was advised that I needed a repair totaling $1025. I realize that I had a 30-day warranty that had just expired but I feel that a major repair like this one should have been caught and fixed prior to them reselling this car to a new customer. I was told by my sales rep as well as the financing rep who secured my loan, what wonderful customer service this dealership provides and you become part of "the Hurd family" and to come back with any issues. I went back and spoke to my original sales person and he advised me that there was nothing he could do since I hadn't purchased the extended warranty. Now I'm concerned about what other defects or problems might all of a sudden pop up now that the limited warranty is over. I've only had this car for basically a little over one month. I feel that Hurd is walking away from any responsibility now that it's off their lot.
All I am requesting is for them to fix my car at no charge and then we can both walk away from this relationship.
