Gave $775 deposit for two new flat (leaking) roofs on 11/12/2009 and was told work would start in 2-3 weeks. After 3 weeks, contacted company and was told work would start in a week. Contacted Hynes a 3rd time and was told we were coming up on the list "soon." Meanwhile, leaks got worse. Finally, contacted the estimator and requested our deposit be returned so we could contract with a company who would do the job. Co-owner, Michele Hynes contacted me and stated she would not do the work on our roof and that she was not obligated to return our deposit -- but she would IF I withdrew my complaints about her business. I will not comply with this woman's extortion request. I am escalating complaints about this company in as many places as possible and they will not be rescinded. I shall have to resort to small claims court to get my deposit returned -- both a hassle and an expense that I expect Hynes will be liable for. Beware this company -- they are not nice, not fair, not moral -- that's my opinion and I'm sticking with it.
