Service Center Behaviour
I had a bad expereine with Trident Service center in Bangalore - Sheshardipuram. I visited their service center on a saturday and the service personal told me that they are not able to take my car for service that day and booked an appointment for the coming monday and the car was to be picked up from my house. But nobody turned up on monday. When I went to the service station to complain about this, they denied that I had a booking on monday and the service center manger and not ready to accept his mistake and his behaviour was very rude.
I have been a Hyundai customer for 10 years and this makes me think if I need to buiy any hyundai cars becauase service is a long term necessity and the trident hyundai does not treat its customers well.

Belt problem after repeated service
My car Hyundai Santro XG (2005 May)was having various problem and was sent to Hyundai service centre Bengal Service at 2/2, Tiljala Road Kolkata 700046.(Rs23218/=was the bill amt).
After 2/3 days there was a noise coming from belt and was taken to the service centre twice where they could not locate the problem.
After this they could locate the problem on 22/11/10 and they said they have rectified it.But from 27/11/10 the noise has come back again.
This is becoming quite a disturbing problem specially after spending so much money on service not even a month back.

rattling sound from santro
the steering of my hyundai santro car makes a rattling sound on rough path of the road. specially when turned right or left.

Deterioration of tyres
I Sushil thakur have purchased a santro xing {HP 63A 0578} in the month of march 2009.The car has run total of 22000 kms.The service of the car, wheel rotation nd its allingment is being done on regular basis. the tyres were changed on 20000 kms but in just 2000 kms the tyres have been deteriorated and we have to change the tyres again because it is causing a problem to the car and this deterioration is caused by some malfunction of the car.
Please look forward to the the matter and help me on this

No action taken on my written complaint lodged with you on
I find it rather disturbing to write to you again about the irresponsible attitude you exhibit towards your customers. Earlier I had written to you about the unsatisfactory service at your showroom (vide my letter dated 12/11/2007) I have received an auto generated reply from you that you have received my letter and also a call from your Delhi Office. I have also received a casual enquiry call from your local service centre in this regard but after that I believe the progress on this issue has been stalled from your side deliberately. I am entitled to demand a reply from you as to what action you have taken on my complaint.
Kindly revert back to me at the earliest in this regard or I shall be constrained to take the matter to the relevant consumer forums.

Car returned in a bad condition after the service.
Sir/Madam,
I had given my Santro Xing (MH-01-PA-5067) for servicing at Jaybharat Workshop in Chembur.
It was 20,000km service and all the previous car servicing were done at Jaybharat workshop in Chembur itself.
The car was delivered to my house in the late evening. Once taken the delivery i noticed the following :
1 ) My car tyre was punctured.
I took the car to the nearest Tyre shop to get the puncture repaired. On checking the stephny Tyre, i observed that the original tyre was missing and instead a completely worn-out tyre was present.
2)Also, there were insects crawling out of the draft of the AC.
On calling up the service center, nothing was done about it.
Instead of finding out a solution for this, i was told that its not their responsibility and they cant offer any solution.
This is the most pathetic customer service that any one could ever provide.
I hope u take my complaint into consideration and also hoping that strict action will be taken.

Poor service
I took santro car to the HMP workshop Delhi (DL9CG 5702)for repairs on 21/08/2007 (gear oil leakage). The car was delivered to me on 24/08/2007 after charging Rs.13000/- .But i was stunned to discover that the traces of the oil emanating from the gear box and the gear box is damaged . The higher authorities never take care of the customers in this company.

Fuel pump unavailable
Suddenly my car stopped running and when I showed to the service centers, they told that its fuel pump is not working and that the part is not available from the manufacturing unit of Hyundai.
Someone please tell what to do in this case and whom to contact?

Air condition system replacement
A copy of email to The General Manager (Sales & Service) Hyundai India:
I am the owner of Hyundai santro regn. no. TN01P 3519, presently at the Ambattur works of KUN HYUNDAI, at Chennai, for periodical (non-warranty) servicing.
My car has steamed 54,350 KM so far. I have not encountered any problem with regard to my airconditioner, except slight reduction of cooling effectiveness.
I handed over my car for general servicing on 13th instant to KUN HYUNDAI ambattur service station. Next day I was informed by the service technician Mr.SAM that there is found traces of gas/oil leak from the compressor, warranting its replacement at the renewal cost of Rs.24,000/-. As the car is about four years new, I could not understand the reason to effect such costly replacement only after four years of use. When I visited the works to examine the problem, I was shown oil trace at the casing of the compressor. As the cooling was to an acceptable level at the time of giving the car for servicing, I instructed not to replace the compressor, but only carry out cleaning of the evaporator coil - air side. Later the same evening, I was informed that the evaporator coil too was leaking and recommended for renewal (at an approx cost of Rs.4000). I once again visited their works to appreciate the problem.
This time I found that the evaporator cooling fins were clogged severely with dust and dried up tree leaves.
It appears in my assessment that severe clogging of the evaporator coils be the main reason for the sequential overpressure of the system which resulted in joints giving way and subsequent gas leaks.
The Kun Hyundai works have confirmed to me that they have no facility for factory reconditioning of the compressor or the evaporator coil. The only remedy according to them is for me renew the components at an approximate cost exceeding Rs.30,000/- inclusive of tax etc. THIS IS EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE TO ME AND IS UNAFFORDABLE, particularly for a car which is only 4 years old,kept under periodical maintenance care of the Hyundai authorized service agents through out.
I have found the reason for clogging of the evaporator coil fins is due to no primary air intake filter and no sieve which would screen entry of abnormal particles like even tree leaves. There is also no easy access to the fin surface on the air side to periodically clean it, without breaking open the whole unit from the freon gas system. This also warrants further recharge of refrigerant and oil, which is an avoidable cost.
Therefore I am of the view that there is a fundamental design flaw which has given rise to the expensive replacement of the compressor and evaporator units.
Further I wish to point out that there is no expert air conditioner technician in the KUN Hyundai factory. People who handle presently are not even aware of leak testing with test lamps; nor they are aware of vacuum testing of the system to ensure perfect sealing of the refrigerant system.
In the light of the above explained to you, I request you to consider my problem on merits of lack of design access for periodical maintenance by owners using Hyundai Santro cars. I request you to grant free replacement of the parts concerned. Further, I also request you to make a modification for the outer plastic cover gaining access to clean the evaporator fins on the air side, without disturbing the refrigerant pipe system.
