MY HYUNDI TUCSAN PURCHASED 16 June 2008 TOTALY UN-TRUST WORTHY FOR TRAVELING.
I have bought the NEW HYUNDAI TUCSAN in June 08. Most often this Car is parked because I am out of the Country on Business trips, but just after 4700km Service of this car by Hyundai Service Center, I was traveling toward Makkah then the Car was malfunctioning (No Engine Power) after app. 700km away from my home City. The Car was transported back to Hyundai Service Center in my home town Dammam by paying for transportation as well as to hire the Taxi for myself, At Hyundai Service Center they fix it (KM5403) by replacing the CRANK SHAFT SENSOR. I asked them why it happened with New Car, they said it’s VERY RARE to happen and it will not happen again. This satisfies me.
I traveled to Dubai to attend the GITEX Exhibition, and while in Dubai, the same problem of no engine power again happen. It was Thursday 23rd Oct. 08, I trace the Agent, when I brought it to them, and they said they have no time to fix it on the same day. Any way I brought it to the Market, No One Wish to touch or Fix HYUNDAI Vehicle because of some Soft Ware Problems. I have to wait till Saturday 25th Oct. 08, cost me more money by staying in Dubai and then brought it again to the Hyundai Service Center on 25th. The Car was kept whole day and fixed by confirming that they have changed the CRANK SHAFT SENSOR (at KM14670)
Upon returning back to Saudi Arabia, I have brought this Car back to Hyundai Service Center, complaining that this Car MUST have Manufacturing Defect, because the Same Sensor worn out twice up to 14670km, they keep the Car for 3 days and said they have changed the following Spare Parts;
1. Fuel Pump Motor.
2. Modified Idle Speed Actuator.
The above change and their explanation did not satisfy me, because what ever problem has been told to fix tot eh Service Center on each 5000km Service, the problem fixing was never observed, based on their previous explanation and repeated problem + experience, I feel that this Car is COMPLETELY UN-TRUST WORTHY to travel out of the City.
I have requested Hyundai Service Center to take it back in writing and replace it but they ignore my request. I request them, as well as to Hyundai Korea through this media to solve my problem, because I have bought TWO TUCSAN, and the other have no problem like explained, which is already 16000km.
