I had a credit card with HSBC. It went into default. The credit "recovery agents" started to call from HSBC. I begin to make payment arrangements with I C systems. I had to make the first payment by debit and then every payment afte that through Western Union. Which, sounded alittle strange, but I was honestly trying to clean up my mess. When I was going to make my last payment, I received a phone call from what I would find out later was the real collection agency and was told not to send anymore money to IC systems. I was told that I still owed the full amount and nothing had been credited to my account. I asked what had happened to the money I had already paid in, he told me it was gone. I have now tried to contact IC systems and speak with Alicia every time I do call. The first time I called, she was extremely nice, she thought i was going to finish the balance. then when she put inmy social and found out what was going on, she started cursing and going nuts, gave me a number to HSBC and told me she nothing else to say to me and hung up. This happened several different times. I still ahve not gotten anywhere with this compnay, No one will talk to me and no one has a credit history for my account. No one will help me, no one will talk to me. These are som eind of special people. Some how they have found the perfect job, one where they can treat people anyway they want to and take their money and get away with it, siply because people are trusting. So beware, just because a collection gency calls you, It doesnt mean that is who you should really be paying. Just because you are honest, doesnt mean who you are talking to will be.

I received a call from I.C. systmes this morning at 8:12 am with a harrasing person calling me on a debt that hasnt been verified. That is the first step debt collectors have to do is verify the debt. When I called them back and gave them my phone number they didnt know who they were calling.

I happen to know the Fair Debt Collection Practices act because I work in the field as a debt negotiator. I called them back, asked for their name and id and put them on notice. Told them not to call my home. I am sending a Cease and Desist letter and will write down names of callers and id as well as time and date and they basic phone conversation. They happend to call the wrong person this morning.

We have rights, If the debt is being collected by someone other than the original name of your creditor, they have to completly verify the debt. They have to send you the original bill that has your signature that ties you to the loan. They cant just arbitraoly call you and try to collect a debt.
