Recently, I had a wedding in Roanoke, Al. I arranged with "I Do Bouquets" to do my centerpieces, bouquets and bows. The week of my wedding the owner assured me that she would have a bouquet and centerpiece ready for me to see. She wanted me to meet her on Wed and I explained that I would meet her on Thurs because of work. I called her the Monday before the wedding to talk about centerpieces and got her on the phone once. She was supposed to call me back after she took a look at the centerpiece picture that I sent to her. (The option I sent to her would have made her life much easier.) She did not call me back and would not answer my phone calls. It seemed as if she turned off the phone because it went straight to voicemail. I called her at home at 5:30pm the next day and her husband said she was sleeping. (Yeah, right.) She didn't bother to call me back. I tried for the next day to reach her without any luck. I even had my mom to go to their shop but the shop was closed but my deposit of $400.00 had been cashed. I went to her business Thursday before wedding and she did not have one centerpiece ready and was barely done with one bouquet. When she described to me the idea about having a green styrofoam plate in a clear vase for the centerpiece I told her that I did not like this idea but would be okay with it if the leaves covered the styrofoam. The day of my wedding she charged me $200.00 more than agreed upon. Of the $200.00 she probably only deserved $60 and that was for 3 additional centerpieces but she seemed to indicate that she would not deliver any of the stuff without the payment. Also, the centerpieces had the ugly styrofoam plate which was not covered up by the foliage. It was so tacky. I probably would have been okay paying her the extra $200.00 if the centerpieces were not so tacky looking. Also, the bows that she was supposed to make to go around the columns outside the church did not have long enough ties on them to wrap around the columns. She ended up charging me things that she said she would just let me borrow at no charge. In all I paid her close to $900.00. I will never recommend her to anyone. The owner is not professional and if you want to see just how much use her for your special occasion. I should have known not to use her when she gave me a receipt on a scratch sheet of paper. However, she said that she was out of register tape. But my wedding was great anyway even though I had to deal with her foolishness.
