We had breakfast at this I Hop restaurant yesterday, as we do once a month. Our beverage was hot tea. When we aksed for more hot water and tea bag we were told we would have to pay $1.99 for it--we already had that amount on our bill for the first cup which we could handle. However, $2.00 for ONE tea bag is ridiculous!!! You can buy a box of 48 tea bags at the store for $3.84 which equates to about $0.08 a bag. Why would you ever charge $2.00 to a customer having breakfast. In my mind you are missing the big picture here. This location was formerly a Village Inn, but closed for several months then I Hop took over. In this fragile economy it seems you would rather have good paying customers and make up the cost of a second cup of tea elsewhere. You can drink as much coffee as you want free.
Would appreciate a response!!
