Education
I can't speak for all the IADT campuses, but as far as IADT Tampa & their Online academy specifically, they are excellent. Fact: all universities & colleges are out to make money. All of the educational institutions, public or private make money and generally don't accept all your credits from ANY previous university no matter how good it was. They are in the business to make money by educating, period. No educational institution has all great instructors, they are people & some of them are less than optimum. Having said that, IADT Tampa Online is an excellent school and is very difficult and should be. I'm finally finishing my BFA in Graphic Design, online, because I work, and it is very intense but great. I have a passion for what I do & I love to learn. This degree is very career focused and will be more valuable. I am a seasoned creative professional who has previously attended a large well-known & respected state university and I can say, I have learned more at IADT Online than the previous education. IADT Tampa Online is not for the lazy, unmotivated or entitled. You have to be a self-starter and approach your classes as if they are a job. Even being remote online, I have had a very positive experience in the responsiveness, interest, and assistance from the registrar, financial aid and academy staff. There are very attentive to provide a valuable & rewarding education experience for their students. If you are laissez faire about your education, go to a community college first. If you are really serious about getting a very focused and valuable education, go to IADT Tampa. This is just my opinion. The real working world is not very forgiving and IADT helps students prepare for this in a kinder, gentler way but with high expectations.
