OVerdrAFT CHARGES
I ve have been banking for about 5 years with this bank and once in a while my accout would be overdrawn small amounts; In; July some how I had an error and thought I still had money in my account so I would make purchases, They deny any wrong doing when they got one whole paycheck about 400 dollars and I figured I would be able to fix it, I get a notice where I'm in the hole 889 dollars after paying in 399.96. "Its not our fault it's the merchant that approves the transaction. I don't buy this. You go to 'Wendy's and they will decline your card if you don't have the money, The bank has to give the approval for the transactions, I made an error and now they will fix with a Freshstart Program but that's okay as long as the repayment is made each month, So do I just leave the amount to withdrawal each month and hope for the best. What if this happen again and I plan an watching this account like a hawk everyday as I was doing and then the bootom falls out. I try ing this but I'm not comfotable with this. Too err is humanbut to be taken to the cleaners is another. It was my fAULT but I don't buy it;s the merchant because I have seen and read things in TV and the internet where banks manipulate account s to line ther pockets, e.g Wells Fargo and Bank of AmericaThen they remove ur overdraftprotection and it causes a snowball effect. this bank had a banner that said." need groceries get them we have you covered with overdraft protection. False advertisement and misleading

Poor customer service
IBC took over my bank and from that day on customer service has gone done hill. IBC seems more concern with generating fees than customer service.
Here are just a few of my experience with them.
My wife several times has cashed a check through the drive through window and the amount she wrote the check for sent the account into an over-daft situation. Instead of telling her she was going to overdraft the account they cashed the check and charged a $29 NSF fee. I finally noticed what was happening after they did this three times and went in to discuss this with a bank officer. I was told their official line in that she should keep better track of her balance. When I mentioned that good customer service would have been for the teller to notifier her the balance would not be sufficient, the officer responded it is the customer's responsibility to keep track of their balance. So much for customer service.
Recently I opened a new personal account as a dba. The account wasn't added to my on-line access and I went in a week later and said I needed full on-line access with my other checking accounts since I often transfer between the accounts. Well last Wednesday I went on line to transfer funds to the new account. I could see the account balance but the on-line system would not let me transfer funds to it. The next morning I tried again and saw a check in the pending transaction was going to clear and cause an overdraft. I called on-line banking department at 8:45 and the system was still on night mode. The office is supposed to open at 8:30 am and I left a message for someone to call me back. I figured the check would clear because of the overdraft protection. Checked the account today and they returned the check and charged a NSF fee. I went in today at lunch and spoke an officer why the check was returned and why I wasn't able to transfer funds. Regarding the return they considered the account to be new and that my being a customer for 3 years doesn't have anything to do when overdraft protection kicks in. Asked why I couldn't transfer funds to the account and was told there was a form that needed filling out. I mentioned I was there two weeks ago fixing the on-line service that wasn't working and it should have been done then. Did the refund the NSF fee? No. I expressed I felt my ability to timely transfer funds to the account in question was due to an over-site on their part and the NSF fee should be refunded. Was told they don't refund NSF fees.
The mentality of the bank is very penny pinching. When I opened the dba account the lady that was doing it apologized that she did not have a folder to put the paper work in. She said they stopped providing folders for that purpose.
I have also noticed that quite often when I cash a check the money comes back lose and not in a little bank envelope.
I started a month ago transferring my business to Arvest. I guess I need to step of the process. It is harder to change banks now with so much going through as a direct draft.

They stole my money!!!
I have been banking with IBC for 4-5 years and have not had any problems untill recently. i have been charged overdraft fees on items that were not overdrafted. i can pull up my account online and there are no negative balances on there at all!! yet they charged me overdraft fees for three items that clearly show a positive balance remaining after they have posted to my accouunt. when i showed them this to request my money to be returned, i was told that the online banking is not accurate and i pretty much need to balance my account better and not rely on thier website. they refuse to give me my money back. i went to 2 different locations and called another location to complain and they all have the same stupid excuse. i am closing my account with them and i don't suggest anyone stay with them even if these problems have not occurred for you YET.

Awful customer service
My father in law has recently passed. He was not married and had three children. In the end he told my husband (the oldest child) that he wanted him to take care of his affairs and barial. He wrote out what he wanted (he didn't have a lot). He gave us his bank account card, his pin #, a voided check etc. thinking that would be enough to close out the account. Well we found out a few weeks before he passed that his life insurance policy through his company JB HUNT (who should also have repercussions for what they have done) said that they wouldn't pay his small life ins policy because he forgot to sign one line that included cancer. So we had to pay for his funeral out of pocket. After he passed we contacted the bank and tried to close the account and they wouldn't. Not only would they not but they wouldn't release any information. They strung us along for OVER 2 weeks. As if this was not a difficult time for my husband anyway they were making it even more difficult. Finally I got involved. We went into the office first and after waiting for 1 hour and 10 minuets on Delonte, Ricky "helped" us. He actually wasn't much help he said we needed a letter of testamentary. So we left I contacted the funeral home and they said what they have showing my husband in charge of his estate should be what they need. They faxed it over. Apparently it wasn't what they needed, but they didn't call to let us know. We called to find out what was going on then had to wait for him to call back ( after 3 times) I asked to talk to his boss (Dleonte). He said he didn't know and would call back (I am still waiting 2 wks later). I called back and asked to speak to HIS boss and that was Terry. She said she would call me back because she didn't know what forms were needed. She didn't call me back either... imagine going through this when you have lost a loved one... all I can say is I will never use them and tell this story to EVERYONE who has them... there are many banks out there so save yourself the trouble...;(

debit
I have not given any authorization for this people to debit my account for the amount of 31.98. I would gladly appreciated if they could refund me my money. I have already contacted my attorney and was advised me to give them 15days before further action could be taken if payment was not refunded in full. Thank you.
