My Thinkpad was bought in Hongkong on 11Dec05. It costs me HKD12,388 (about AUD2,000). It has 3years warranty.
7th Sept07, i called IBM service center to pick up my Thinkpad to fix due it's not smoothly to start to windows. It shows: Media Failed.
8th Sept07, IBM in Australia collected the Thinkpad and email us a fix quotation amount of AUD1241.80 for changing of Fan, Hard Drive, CD/DVD-RW Drive, Speakers and Keyboard. I can't believe that their maintenance center could give me this quotation. I think they would like to sell their components instead of repairing. I wrote in a complaint immediately and their Service Care department reply me to insist to charge me for AUD1241.80.
28th Sept07, i replied to their Service Care to ask them to review if they could try to repair instead of change most of components to reduce the cost. Till today, 8th Oct07, they did not give me any reply at all.
I feel very disappointed with their services. They provide ZERO maintenance SERVICES. They only focus on how to sell their components.
