Fradulent Company; false advertising; none-payment
I was so happy when I found this website b/c it promised me money for my phone while saving the environment. This happiness soon turned to frustration after sending in my phone and waiting 2 months for the check. Not only did I not receive the check for my phone but they have stopped responding back to my emails and request to have my phone mailed back to me. I am very disappointed with this company and will file a complaint with the BBB so that they can be on "someone's radar". I am glad that people have this website as a venue to inform people of scam sites like www.ibuyphones.com so that no one else will fall victum to their deception. BUYERS BEWARE!!

Non payment /Rip-off
I sent LONNIE two phones in original boxes June 15, 2009 in my own box using their pre-paid label. I checked on the website several times to see if my phones were received, and they weren't. On their website, however, it states that this sometimes happens and to email them specifics about your packages. Well, I have done that ...several times. I have yet to receive anything back from LONNIE about anything. And it seems as though the email address for customer service is null and void. I have heard a variety of feedback about this "company" but I can only go by my own experience. And my own experience is saying Ibuyphones.com IS A SCAM. I guess I should I researched who I was dealing with. Where are all the good citizens of the US of A????

Rip-off
BEWARE! I sent 4 phones in their pre-paid mailer on 7/9/2009 and to this day, their website shows they still haven't received my phones. On top of that, I have sent (what they call) customer service 5 emails inquiring of the status but have never received a reply. I should've received $172 but of course, nothing! I just hope anyone that is considering doing business with this "so called" company checks this site first.

SCAMMED
I sent in two phones to this ridiculous company over a month ago and they are still listed as having never been received. I have sent numerous emails to their customer service, receiving no response. Except for one, when I was worried that my contact email was not changed, and they responded to tell me it had been changed. In that same email I had again asked about my phones. There was nothing in the response about my phones. I was quoted to receive $98 dollars from them for my phones that I sent in.
Their websites states that sometimes the stickers fall off of the packaging, so with all emails, I have sent a description of the phones and prepaid packaging. This however makes no sense seeing that if the sticker had fallen off, my name and address would still be on the one that exists underneath that.
Every response to these complaints says to 'wa wa wa email customer service' .. well Lonnie, your idiots working in customer service appear to be unable to answer all 5 emails that I have sent.

Fraud and scam
So, I thought that I would get some extra cash for our old cell phones after switching networks. I looked online and thought I picked the right one, ibuyphones.com. I had a slight inkling that it may be a scam so I took pictures of my phones and all info before sending. My phones safely arrived to ibuyphones at the beginning of December. I waited patiently until the beginning of January to contact them about the status of my order. No response. I sent another note, slightly more agitated, no response.
Now, I like to talk directly to people who have done me wrong so I tried to find the phone number for this place and guess what? Conveniently they only do communication through email. It was then I knew it was a scam. None-the-less I sent the same note to them repeatedly for a week straight.
At this point it isn't even about the money; it is the fact that this scam artist gets away with it. I could have donated my phones to a charity for people who really need them; instead I donated them to some guy who obviously makes a living being a lying SOB.
So watch out people, this guy who runs ibuyphones is a real winner. I would make sure you are not getting scammed by his other 36 websites either. To Lonnie, the scam artist, you're a real big man. Get a real job and seek professional help.

Unauthorized charges
I am so embarrassed. I talked the people in my church into letting ME send their unused cell phones to ibuyphones.com to raise money for our building fund. First they said almost ever phone sent in was for recycling only. They said they would pay for 2 phones. $12.00 each. Not much I know but it belongs to God. You would think that they could pay the $24.00 that they owe. I warned them for the last 3 months that I would tell everyone how crooked and cheap they are. Vengeance is mine sayeth the LORD. Sic em God.

payment never received
I sent in two cell phones in July 08 and was promised a check within 2 - 3 weeks and it is now January 09 and still have never received the check. Supposely they have mailed a check 3 times according to two different people, the last check was supposed to be mailed the end of December. I have filed a complaint with the BBB, but that did no good. I do not understand how a company can still be in business when they are actually stealing from everyone who is trusting them. I am really tired of messing with them, but I am sure all the other people who lost phones and money are two. I am not sure where to go from here. I thought about contacting a TV news station in California and see if they have a "call for help".

no payment
This company promises to pay for used cell phones and they consistently change there website and now there is no phone number to contact customer service to find out where and why payments for my used and bran new cell phones have been made. They list the Today`s Program as recommending there services and this is not true. It has been 3 months and they have not sent my meeesly 44 dollars for my cell phones.
