Harrassment from Collection Agents
Dear Sir,
I hold credit card with ICICI Bank since 2005, CC# 4477 4698 1798 1003. I had been regularly paying EMIs till July 2008, when outstanding amount was around 30K. I had family problems, and could not maintain my ICICI account and paying EMIs on Credit Card. On 18th Dec 2008, they forced my account on lean without informing me and deducted Rs. 32, 864.0. I called up customer care, but it was in vain. They were not ready for any settlement less than Rs. 50, 000.00 which was interest amount. And bank never communicated further to talk in lines of settlement.
Meanwhile I got married and started staying with my husband. In Sept 2009, some lady name Anita Sharma called up saying she is lawyer from Delhi High Court and ICICI bank has imposed some fraud case against me. Also, a guy called Chauvan, said he is from Delhi police and they are hunting for me. Later I learned they were collection agents, and throwing all dirty tantrums for harassing me. That guy named Chauvan even called my husband and tried to spoil my personal relationship by telling all abusive about me to him over phone. I have contact numbers of both Anita and Chauvan. I called up call center to get in touch with settlement department, they said they could not reach settlement department and cannot give me any request number as department is not available.
On 22nd Jan 2010, a man named Harish Gupta, 9760283688 again called, this time called my father and threatened him. My father is paralyzed from past 5years, bed-ridden and is hardly able to talk. He used abusive language and threatened him that he would call my Office. I am ready for settlement, but the amount must be after waiving off excess interest. They don’t want to waive off interest and use all gundaism techniques to harass customers. To my disbelief, this man actually called HR head of my office and threatened him. Again today on 25th Jan 2010, I contacted customer care, and I am with same response of Settlement department not available on line.
I had personal loan with ICICI bank in 2005, which I had pre-closure done in 2006, without any discount, by paying full interest and charges as I had some funds available then. I have life insurance policies with bank, which I have decided to discontinue. I am not interested in having any relationship with ICICI.
I am really upset, and facing nervous breakdown because of torture from bank agents. I want contact details of Settlement Accounts Officer, minimum amount to be paid to close my account and NO DUE CERTIFICATE from bank. I am not interested in talking with any collection agents who uses abusive language. Please advise, what should I do.

Miscommunication on EMI Scheme
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am holding a credit card (4477474354961008) with ICICI bank. In the month of October 2009, I have received a phone call from ICICI Chennai CC Dept. offering me a 12/24 months EMI facility The customer care executive told me the processing fee and EMI for 12/24 months and assured me that it will be converted. But after seeing my e statement and the monthly statement I received, that total amount was not converted to EMI. After calling the bank they are telling me that they are helpless.
When I try to convert a transaction into an EMI Customer Care people say EMI is not available. They are telling me before convert in EMI you need to pay 3300, Rs (near about). I want to convert the amount into an EMI. Not being informed is like cheating. I don’t have amount to pay the full bill now. Please proceed for the

Harrassment for payment of credit card loan which was never taken
Sir/Madam,
I am a Mid aged wrking lady and i was having ICICI Banks credit card. Last years in month of march i found unknown transaction on credit card statement. The details given was: amount Rs. 25000/ approx for Nokia mobile purchase from shop S.R Telecom Khar on dated 19 mar 2007. I was shocked because i had never visited that shop in my life time and i gave written complaint about it to bank (Complaint no. SRXXXX) within a month but bank took no action. When i talk to bank representative, she told me if i pay amount Rs. 3700/ approx. bank will settle the things by sending zero balance statement. Also the representative threat me, that if i dont pay i will be in trouble. That was difficult time as i was pregnant and i was mentally upset as collection agents had started for visiting to my office place. So i paid Rs. 3700/- approx. in excess to bank but next month i got a statement which mentioned above transaction as a 'Desputed'. But still Bank applied a interest and service charges on same transaction. I send several reminders to bank, gives visits to Andheri and Lower parel branch but no one pays heed to my complaint. Bank keeps on sending me statements with more and more demands and threats on telephones and visits to office place by collection agents.After watching my nervous condition, one of my friend advised me to tell these thing to my husband otherwise things will affect to my baby also. So i told all the problem to my husband. We cut the credit card and it in drop box. My husband also visited to bank at andheri and asked for proof of transaction but invain. One day when my husband was carring my mobile, he got a call from collection agent of ICICI bank and that man gave bad words to my husband. We made police complaint in chembur police station. In month of november i got a baby boy. My husband wrote a email to Mr. Kamat (MD) ICICI bank by CC to Reserve Bank Of India and ICICI customer care service. Then my husband got call from ICICI bank service manager meghana kazi. We asked for proof about the transaction and after some days we got another shock after receiving proof (image file) of purchase receipt of mobile. Signature on the receipt was not exactly matching to mine but some one had tried to make my signatures. As we went to police station to make a complaint, police officer on duty refused to take complaint and threat us that if we make complaint, my whole family will be suffer.
Still bank is sending statement along with phone calls from collection agents and amount has become over Rs. 50, 000/- due to interest on a purchase of mobile which i have never purchased and seen. New charges 'Overlimit' Rs. 500/ are also get added. Three days before i got a legal notice from solicitor of ICICI bank with demand of Rs. 50, 000/ + within 7 days.
Kindly help me as my whole family is disturbed by such a bad experience by ICICI bank credit card service. I also warn people about this service from ICICI bank.

This is in reference to my above-mentioned credit card payment for the month of September 2009 falling due in the month of October 2009. The total amount generated was Rs. 3824/- and a cheque vide no. 911065 dated 14-10-2009 drawn on Vijaya Bank amounting Rs. 3900/- was dropped at your Luxmi Nagar Branch {Maharaja Banquet, Luxmi Nagar, Delhi}. But, when I got my next billing statement generated for the month of November 2009, there had been “Late Payment Charges” and “Interest Charges” amounting to Rs. 728/- approx. citing reasons that your last payment has not been received.<br />

The statement was received by me on 03-11-2009, but why I had been started off getting calls from your end before the statement is received by the customer at least. And, also to mention that once you have applied late payment charges or interest etc, then why it reflects that an IMMEDIATE payment to be made, given that next billing cycle/payment due date fall in the mid of November 2009. There had been at least two three calls a day to make a payment, even before I could have received my statement as and when it falls due. Also it was found that my cheque has already been received at your end before the stipulated date and if there had been any delay after that, it’s the default at your end. If any of the default is at the customer then he/she should be intimated well in advance so they can look out for possible solutions. I think this is the reason why all details such as name; contact information etc. is mentioned on the cheque, so as to let them know if there is problem on their part.<br />

It had been more than 15 days that cheque has been lying at your branch but I had not been intimated of the same. The cheque should have been returned to me in time or my local bank or me itself should have been intimated from your end. Also the messages that a customer gets in regards to the payment deposit clearly says “Please deposit so and payment …. And ignore the message if already paid.”, but nowhere down the line it reflects about any of the discrepancies on customer cheques, the reason which your department has cited. Also if I would have known about the issues in time, I would have either made the payment in cash or issued another cheque so as to avoid any of the charges that have been applied. Nowhere down the line it’s a customer default and therefore you are requested to resolve the issues as early possible.

if the card is settled and settlement letter of icici bank is with me no.ICWE1MUM/042009/18858/1 DATED April22, 2009, then why am i getting bills every month with late fee and interest??????

Cheating
I have a credit card in ICICI. They dont bill me properly and dont send me statements. Then when i protest by not paying till they send me statement, they cut my credit limit and screwed my credit rating. now i dont get credit card from any bank. all because icici cant send statements on time or respond to phone banking calls.
they are cheats. ask they to reverse credit standing of minel.

Miscommunication on EMI Scheme

I am holding a credit card (5239511106734013) with ICICI bank. I received a call from ICICI Bank customer care that an EMI scheme is applicable on my card till 31st of July, 2009 and I can avail that. I did a shopping on 28th July, 2009 and called customer care to change that amount to EMI option. The customer care executive told me the processing fee and EMI for six months and assured me that it will be converted. But after seeing my e statement and the monthly statement I received, that shopping amount was not converted to EMI. After calling the bank they are telling me that they are helpless and they have withdrawn the scheme on 28th itself and I will have to pay the whole amount. I approached the senior members of the bank but they all are forcing me to pay the whole amount and clearly stated that inspite of being their mistake they cannot do anything. I told them that I will be taking the help of consumer forum they were fine with that also. I dont know, highlighting the complaint on this site would help me or not, but if seriously this site is monitored by any authorized person I would humbly request to take an action against these types of frauds by the companies so that the should atleast value their customers. I have the record of people, (Meeta, Chetan, Usha Rani) involved in this case so if you require to follow-up I am always there.
These types of companies or banks feel that the customers cannot do anything and they can do whatever they want. Right now they are feeling that what exactly a single consumer can do against them and they will not be affected by this small incidence. Please suggest me what necessary actions can be taken against this fraud.

Update of full and final settlement
I had a credit card which i at time defaulted. But later on with the consent of bank i paid the settled amount set by bank which till date don't show anywhere. My account still shows pending dues. So ps do the needful i have to again apply for loan.
