Credit card fraud!
I gave my details for a credit card after immense pressure from a young man from ICICI and hence applied for a credit card, which I never got due to one 'expressit' courier who couldn't locate my house in the middle of an important road, nor my office HP Globalsoft next to their office in electronic city. That was 2 and half years back.

After a year of application I started getting SMS statements, tried having it checked with ICICI personal via the helpline and in person, with no avail. I was shrugged off as I didn't have the whole credit card number but just the last 4 digits from the sms statement. After 2 years I got a statement for the month of august in my office mailroom, with all my details. On trying to clarify all these I couldn't get anywhere.

Again I have had several debits from my ICICI savings account which went to the card which I never received and messed up my loan payments. Today I am at my wits end with continuous harassment from ICICI goons.

I have no other way to solve this issue then to commit some heinous crime or to depend on the country's law. I just hope and pray that no ICICI folks come in my way... ever!!

Fraud and cheating!
This is regarding the DLF IPO. I have submitted a cheque on the 19th of July 2007 with the Sector 14 branch of ICICI BANK in Gurgaon. But, the cheque was never encashed and the IPO Shares never got transfered to my account.

I have now received a letter from Karvy that the money has not been received by them and that I have to pay an interest of 12%p.a. over the unpaid amount (from 20th July to present date) in addition to the unpaid amount.

I wrote to the ICICI BANK also, but I didn't get any positive response. They say that I have to visit the branch and get the matter sorted out. I have the receipt of the bank with bank stamp on the paid-up IPO slip mentioning the date.

ICICI Lombard insurance is put in the credit card
I requested for a ICICI credit card on Aug'06. They have put the ICICI lombard insurance against my name and adding the amounts in the credit card. Though I have canceled it in November'06... its going on being accumulated.

Can anybody suggest how to tackle this issue... so that I don't have to pay anything.

Debited money form Saving account but not credited in credit card account
My account in Greater kailash II in ICICI Bank, a/c no is 031101503064, i have payment to icici bank Credit card Rs 600.00 through phone banking on 7 september 2007, amount is debited to saving account, but not credited to credit card account, i have a lot of time requested to costumer care but no body to care this situation, he/she said to me: your amount is credited to your saving account in 5 days, but at this time either amount is not credited to saving account or credit account.

Very poor service!

Fraud and cheating!
My husband Steven D'souza (who holds and NRE account in your bank) and myself went to the ICICI Bank, Vashi Branch some time in April 2007. We wanted to invest our money and Mr. Anjan Raisinghani at ICICI Bank, Vashi, was helping us do the same. He had suggested we go in for an FCNR Deposit which has a maturity period for about a year. We told him that we might require the money to buy property and might have to cancel the FCNR before its maturity and would not like to loose out in any way. He told us that if we canceled we would only not get any interest, the principal amount would stay the same but we would have to pay Rs.1000/- as cancellation charges. We also confirmed with him that as our INR money would be converted to US$, at the time of cancellation would we not loose any money if the exchange rate drops. He again assured us that our money will be as it is and only Rs.1000/- will be deducted. We then asked him several times more if we are going to loose out on any more money besides Rs.1000/- and he kept saying no and told us not to worry.

We then invested rupees ten lakhs in the FCNR Deposit. After around two and a half months we bought some property and had to cancel the FCNR. Straight away Rs.50,000/- approximately was debited from my husband's account. We were shocked and when we contacted the bank they informed us that the debit was because of exchange loss at the time of canceling the FCNR.

We spoke to Mr. Anjan Raisinghani several time and told him that he has done the wrong thing by misguiding us and that the exchange loss debited should be credited back into our account. He did not seem concerned at all he told us he cannot do anything. I then told him that i will go to higher authority and complain. He said that i can go to whomsoever i want and that he does not care and he said that i will tell them that i informed you about the exchange loss. I was stunned when i heard an ICICI Bank employee speak in such a way. Instead of apologizing he is ready to lie further.

I went to ICICI Bank, Vashi Branch and met with the Branch Manager, Ms. Mamta Ashar. She said that i could contact Mr. Chandrashekhar who handles this section. Mr. Chandrashekhar was unable to help and said that i could contact Mr. Kartikey Hemani. All Mr. Hemani did was protect Mr. Anjan and he also mentioned to me that 'he would have done the same thing if he were in Mr. Anjan's place', which means he too would have misguided us. I was shocked once again. Its unbelievable that employees of ICICI Bank speak like this. Instead of sorting the problem they are protecting their friends at the customer's cost, it definitely seems like that.

I then asked Mr. Hemani for details pertaining to the transaction several days ago. I received his regrets for the same today. I was once again shocked. As per RBI rules, a bank has to give their customer information pertaining to their account. I again sent him a mail requesting for the same, but there as been no reply so far.

Poor service!
I had submitted the request for the changing my Demat Account password on 20th August and was told that it will be done in 7 working days. When I called to inquire about the same after 15 days I was told that the request was rejected and I have to fill the application again.

1) Why was it rejected when the official at the Mohali Phase 7 Branch had told me that it will be updated according to my Savings bank Account.
2) Why was I not informed about the rejection.

Then I submitted a fresh request on 6th September and was assured that it will be done within 3 days and when I called after 3 days they said it has been updated on Demat Account but not on online trading which incidentally I will need to have updated before I can get a fresh password. (That's why it all started). So after talking to a supervisor at Hyderabad center on 11th Sept I was assured that it will be done within 2 days and when I called on 14th morning to check they sd it will take 7-10 days for it to be updated and the Executive (Syed Hassan) at first bluntly declined bringing the supervisor online and when the so called Customer care manager (Shaik Fareed both at hyderabad center) came online he was not much help and was outright rude to say the least. In this age of technology I have been waiting to get my address updated for my demat Account for abt 25 days now so that I can apply for a new password( which I didn't know will take how many more night marish calls) and sitting on a quite volatile market having no choice but to watch my investment fall. I would like to file a complaint against ICICI for deficient service and also their contact center for providing the most Horrible customer service you can ever get.

Poor service!
I have a icici credit card and I am using this card till december 2005. When I got the statement of april 2007 I am shocked because in this statement 5 entries are located on line air tickets purchases which is I am not doing. Immediately I blocked my card on 1/5/2007 and register a complaint in ICICI customer care center. My complaint No. is SR-23417618.On 3/5/07 I send a written complaint to ICICI bank.On 18/5/07 bank will send me a latter again I am shocked because bank will told me one transaction is in banks favor. This the biggest entire of 5 disputed transactions. Banks statement dated 26/5/07 was very vague & complicated. In this statement bank will demanding me Rs-16,099/-. When I ask about above statement in customer care center or in branch they cant give me any satisfied answer. At last I send a legal notice to ICICI bank on 13/7/07 however no reply is given till today. I send my complaint to RBI also. When RBI mail ICICI bank one of the unit manager of ICICI bank (pune Br.) will call me and says pay the outstanding amount otherwise recovery agent will send in my house.Bank will now harass me by calling me or send their recovery agents. I register a complaint in Commissioner of Police pune. If any one of you face same problem aof ICICI bank please mail me. My mail ID is [email protected].

Poor service!
Its more than one month on the website of ICICI Bank, the website does not work properly. Anyone who relies on their internet banking facility is completely pissed off because it always gives only and only one message that your session expired. When you contact on the 24 hours customer care services, you will get only one reply that try after some time or register the complaint. There are other horrible issues of the bank staff treating NRI customers so badly. No proper response. The management is deaf and blind and instead of consolidating on its services, goes on aggressive marketing for exploiting customers. There is no word like "Customer satisfaction" in the dictionary of ICICI Bank.

Avoid ICICI Bank in all circumstances.

Sub: Dispute with ICICI Bank regarding credit card


I am Gautam Kathuria R/o 764,Dr.Mukherjee Nagar,New Delhi.
I am a user of ICICI bank’s credit card since last two years. My credit card number is-5176 5300 2131 0001.

With the issue of card in Mar-Apr 2005, I started using it frequently but inspite of the usage I did’nt got any billing statement from them.I started getting calls from collection department(videocon tower,jhandewalan extn) in the very first month of issue of my credit card for my due payment so I told them and asked them for my statement so that I can pay my bill.But instead of issuing me the statement they send their agent personally to me to collect the amount and gave me the acknowledgment in that regard,they even apologized and promised me for the next month’s statement.
But unfortunately I didn't got the statements continuously for nine months,and they used to collect the amount personally with the same old apologies and stories.

I do have all the acknowledgments of the bills paid by me to their agents but after nine months when I got my first ever statement as on 18 Dec 2005 it was unfairly with Late payment fees and interest charges of Rs.3954 regarding previous nine months of certainly the amount which I already paid and having acknowledgments of them with me.
I called up again to make a complaint as I thought it would have been a result of a misunderstanding but my call had no result.

I again got one more billing statement next month and this time with increased outstanding late fees and interest charges of Rs.4398.As a result I again called up to them and an agent named Priya(Tel no 01132482867) of collection department, Videocon tower,Jhandewalan Extention, suggested me and hence send to me a “Dispute Form” and asked me to submit it with a fees of Rs.510/- and assured to me that with this form all of the false charges made upon me till now will automatically get reversed. I didn't had any other option so I did filled the form and submitted it back with the fees on 10 Mar 2006.

But unfortunately this Dispute Form also didn't work and I continuously receiving the wrong billing statements. But I continued using my credit card because of their assurance to me that wrong charges will automatically get reversed. I never made any dispute regarding my payments and made them always on time. One day I made a heavy transaction of Rs.35000/- dated 10-10-2006 on my credit card and they offered me to give the payments in six installment of Rs 5835/- each with a processing fee of Rs.1950/- . I agreed to them for the sake of my convenience. After completion of all the six installments, I started getting dangerous threats from the agents named Ashish(tel no 39874000 and 45528045) , Neeraj (mob no 9350115797), of collection department , C.P. branch (as told to me).
I was always polite to them and tried to explain my problem to them in spite of their regular misbehavior on subsequent calls, but my words had no effect on them and they threatened me continuously till date.
Now the story has come to Rs.18000/- as continuous increase in late charges according to icici bank. As a result I again got a call from an agents named Neeraj and Ria of collection department at videocon tower (jhandewalan extn) and they asked me to visit their branch,if I wanted to clear my dues. I agreed and met them on 16-8-2007 at videocon tower branch. I explained the matter to Mr.Neeraj(mob no 09213226286) and Mr.Vicky (work stat no 2D14 department credit card), they then verified the records and accepted their mistake and even apologized on behalf of icici bank for the inconvenience I am facing since a very long time.
But my satisfaction lasted for just few minutes because next was their demand from me for the whole amount of Rs.18000/- in spite of their apology. When I denied to them , they started negotiating with me and tried to settle the amount at Rs.10000/- ILLEGALLY. I rejected their negotiation and made up my mind to seek help from you.
I am totally disappointed and fed up with icici bank as this is the worst experience I ever had in my life.

Nightmare for opening a savings account
Have you ever imagined how funny it is to open a savings account with one of the leading pvt bank, as they boast, ICICI... The application was submitted on 5th July ,and after 20 days ICICI representative came back for some more signatures, assuring that the account will get activated within 2days. Again on 1st of August he came back for a nominee signature promising that account will be activated on 4th.

After a long wait, i went to the bank to deposit my cheque trusting ICICI that my account is activated.But i came to know that it is not yet. I called up immediately to customer care and found that my application was rejected on 27 th july. And i wonder why the guy from ICICI has taken 3 days to come back to me (i.e on 1st Aug), Instead it is still in the process and gives me a surprise. It is just a case of opening a savings account... if the product is an investment instrument I'm sure you are caught in the web... so think twice or don't ever think about ICICI!
