No Action from ICICI Bank for Customer Concerns
I have been going through the nightmare from ICICI Bank. Though I have been sending them mails and following up regularly. The only prompt action from them is - they send me a classical message saying 'We understand your concernns, your service request is so and so and we will get back to you in 2/3 days". But after few days the service request gets closed automatically without any action.
I have sent mails to customer care, NRI manager, NRI helpdesk, plus to the Branch Manager through online message. But the result is the same - no action; Here are my difficulties in the past couple of months;
1. I had opened a DEMAT account on 16th July 2010. A representative named Nishant had come to Fort branch to collect the copies of the documents and my application. He assured me the process takes few days, but he would get in touch with me. As there was no updates from him, I called him several times on his mobile (9833713830), he was not answering the call at all. On 2nd August he answered my call, in which I reminded him about my Demat account. He said in few days he would ensure I get the updates. But sofar nothing happened.
I called him on 4th September several times and reminded him about it, he said the officers delayed the process to verify my documents (Hope he says the truth), and he took my address, promissing me to deliver the welcome kit at my residence at Masjid Bunder. But as usual - nothing happened. Next day I sent him an SMS saying you havent sent the person with the welcome kit. No response from him sofar.
2. I had called Mr.Praful to speak about Salary account and I thought he might be able to help me on the demat account issues and other concerns I have with ICICI Bank. He gave me a reference of Sheetal Gadkari, I spoke to her and she asked me to put all my concerns by email, which I did. She neither acknowledged the receipt of my email, nor she actioned. I called her after two days to check if she received the email, she is suggesting me to call someone else as she was on leave. I requested her if she can forward my number to the right person and make me speak with them. She said she would, but again - nothing happened. I wrote email after few days to ICICI Bank, NRI Manager, Helpdesk with cc to Sheetal Gadkari - but no action sofar. I guess incompetant team of ICICI Bank doesnt care customer.
3. I had gone on a project to Saudi, as the payment is US$ and sent directly into our bank account (NRI). I called NRI Personnel (Mr.Chaitanya of Mira Road branch), asking if there are any steps I need to follow; He said nothing, just note the swift code and they can do the tt (wire transfer) into my account. I also wrote to ICICI Bank, they replied me the same. But when the wire transfer happened, they were prompt in deducting the amount from the sender bank but never credited into my account. After almost 10-12 days when I am following up, Mr.Chaitanya is telling me stories, saying due to RBI guidelines, we are unable to accept the amount. When I asked why it was not mentioned earlier? He said he started telling stories, saying he doesnt have access to emails, he is not allowed to mail me. I wrote to Customer care, they finally replied to me saying they have instructed the Mira Road branch to credit into my account. But when I contacted Mira Road branch through mails, there is still no action. This is 16th day and both my invoices (US$ 3600 and US$ 6800 are not credited into my account sofar). I called Mr.Chaitanya, he rejected my call and sent me SMS, saying he is in a training and he would call me back. He neither called me back, nor accepted my call next day.
4. I had opened an account with Fort branch ICICI, I was given online login/password. When I tried to login, the passwords given were not working. I raised this concerns couple of times, but there is no proper response from ICICI Bank.
5. I had a call from ICICI Lombard in 2009 about its full package insurance. The representative clearly mentioned that all the sicknesses will be covered as part of the policy. I took a policy by paying 15000 through credit card. But after 6 months when someone else saying a different story, he says, for the first year they dont cover all tests, only after 1 year or 2 years I can avail all tests. Now looking at the way ICICI bank staff treating its customers, I opted to close my insurance. I was given call by someone, asking me to renew the policy. I asked him I have few medicine bills of Rs.500 can I claime? He says yes I can claim if I renew. Meaning I need to pay 15000 to get 500 refund. Sounds like the person either came from Andaman Nicobar or he considers me I came from Andaman Nicobar. Just wondering what kind of cartoons ICICI Bank is hiring.
ICICI Bank has become truly unprofessional and careless. I have all the communication prints which I want to send to Mrs.Chanda Kochar. Hope she cares the grievances of customers. This is really getting ridiculous to see such a bad service from ICICI Bank.

Issue of Credit Card
My card no. is 4477580110758007. I had requested your bank to block my card on 13 July 10, as I had lost it. Later when I came to know that it was only misplaced I requested your Bank on 18 July 10 to cancel my earlier instruction. I was told that I would be sent a fresh card within 7 working days. I complained through e mail in Aug & on 18 Aug I was told that the card would be sent. It is nearly two months now and I am yet to get my card. It takes enormous time to register a complaint through Voice Activated system. Though I am only a house wife and do not work anywhere, your people insist that I work in a college, in spite of repeated denial. In case you are not interested in sending me a fresh credit card, return the surplus credit in my account of Rs.596.57 by your cheque immediately.

Duplicate Notes
Hello,
I am Dr. Digambar More, From Dighanchi, Tal- Atapadi, Sangali. I have Account in ICICI Bank, Dighanchi Branch, and I have complain against branch Manager and Cashier.
I have Deposited Rs. 2 Lac on 20 Aug, 2010. At time of depositing money, cashier counted full amount and checked all notes.
On 28 Aug, 2010, Bank told me that there are some duplicate notes found in amount I deposited and they debited Rs. 3500 as 7 notes were Duplicate(as per bank office).
I am not agree to this statement and your action against me as I am reputed doctor here, your cashier checked all notes, if there were some duplicate notes he found then he has to intimate on counter only. As all process happened behind the wall, I think, your Manager and Cashier have done this with mutual understanding.
There 3 more case happen in this branch before also and they are with me and ready to report a case against Manager of Diganchi branch.

Its a very very poor service I see in my 9 years of interaction with ICICI Bank
For last 4 days internet banking facility is not working properly. On last three days there is a notification for that shown in the website but today without any notification service is completely stopped. When I try to contact in Customer care even after waiting for 15 min on the phone no body bother to attained the call.
Due to that so many net transactions are held up and I have to pay late fees. Its a very very poor service I see in my 9 years of interaction with ICICI Bank.

Deducted rs 110.30 as transaction charges
I withdraw cash of rs 3400 from ICICI ATM at dwarka on 11 May 2010. when i checked mini statement rs 110.30 deducted as transaction charges. as per RBI guidelines no fee will be deducted on third party transaction. My account is with HDFC bank. please tell me how i can get my 110.30 back from ICICI.

I believe they are the biggest fraud bank of India
In the year 2006 I was using a credit card of ICICI bank, and lost the same on my way to office in Delhi metro in dec 2006. I have complained regarding the same from a near by ICICI bank ATM center to their customer service, and asked them the block the card and sent me the pending billing details if any in my address. But they never sent the same and never called me back regarding the same and in the mean time I got transferred to a new place. Now all of a sudden in august 2008, they deducted around Rs.7000/- from my account without any prior information to me. And then they have made no communication about the same, now againg all of a sudden I got a call from one of their advocate, name Ashok Jaitly, that there is a non-dailable warrant against me, and the person started calling my family member on my home phone and on my mobile phone, started threatning them and me, putting us under huge mental trauma, so many times i tried to explain them why there will be any pending after 3 yrs and not only that when the bank deducted Rs.7000/- from my account then how there will be still any pending amount. But they never stopped doing the mental black mailing, so i decided, to settel the same as per their terms, then the advocate (Ashok Jaitly) asked for Rs.20, 000.00 should get deposited in the card account, and the moment it would be done he promised me that he will send me the total settelment letter. Though before doing that I asked him for the pending credit card bills for that C.C. No., but he did not provide the same, and againg started threatning my family and me. So on 30.03.2010 I deposited the same amount and sent him a scanned copy of the deposite slip as per as his requirement. Then he supposed to sent me a full and final settelment letter, but on receiving of my mail he switched off his mobile, and not even given me any settelment letter.Currently I stay at Patna, and the person was calling from Delhi and representing ICICI bank. I am carrying the deposite slip with me as a document. So if you can help me out to get the settelment from ICICI bank, I wil be hery thankful.
And this is for everybody: Try to avoid any transaction in financial terms with ICICI bank.As i belive they are the biggest fraud bank of India.

I have serious complaint to make at ICICI's desk regarding my credit card
I have serious complaint to make at ICICI's desk regarding my credit card. The card had an outstanding of around Rs. 25000 long back and it was continued to be delivered at my old office's address. No one called me for any collection for almost one year. For the first time, I have been contacted now for a payment of Rs. 56000 that includes finance charges, late payment penalty and overlimit charges for all this time when the statement was not delivered at the right place and neither was I contacted to make any payments. If I had been given only one call, I could have cleared everything long back and saved on penalties and interest. Now, just within 10 days after their first contact, they have already raised the issue up with some lawyer and are telling me that they would take it further legally.
The funniest part is the credit card limit itself is Rs. 45000 and look at the outstanding. Since there has been a mistake on bank's end as well, this case has to be given a special consideration.

Was shocked to hear that I had dues of around 3500/
I had cancelled the ICICI credit card in Feb 2009. I had to apply for the personal loans in Oct 2009 and my loan was rejected as I was given a write off on ICICI credit card (came to know this from cibil report). I called up ICICI bank Customer care and was shocked to hear that I had dues of around 3500/- I had cleared entire amount Rs. 19683 (outstanding was 19682.73) on 4th Feb 2009. Since the card cancellation request was taken and I did not hear anything from ICICI bank, I did not get back to the bank on the status of the card again.
I requested all the statements from ICICI from Nov 2008 till date. I saw an outstanding amount of Rs 149 in Feb 2009. Now, my point is:
1. Customer care should not have taken the cancellation request at all if I had the outstanding amount.
2. Even now, my status in the bank says "card is closed but the account is not", concerning statement.
3. For Rs. 149 from Feb 2009, they have put the interest of 3500 till Oct 2009.

I would say that i have been literally harassed by them
This is to bring to your notice the struggle and inconveyance which the customers are facing in getting delivery of their alloted TATA Nano Car.
I had booked Nano online through ICICI with great enthusiasm. I was lucky enogh to get an allotment in the first lot, July-Sep09.
When i processed my documents with ICICI bank well withing the time frame.Since then, i have not got any response from them on my application status, even though i have been chassing them them on daily basis. Now after 10 days when i finally got hold of their guy over phone, he says they will not convert booking loan into auto loan.
I really doubt if they were actually interested in converting this loan into auto loan in the first place. They asked me documents as if i was asking for a 1 crore loan. Anyway, i still provided them whatever they demanded for. But since then they never got back to me after that, proved that their intentions were not right.
I would say that i have been literally harassed by them. I wonder why they actually agreed for booking amount. May be they thought of earning a huge interest amount on the basis on just paying booking ammount.Now that they have filled their pockets, they want to get out this.
This has been a very bad experience and you definitely need to escalate this matter for the sake of customers and customer satisfaction.

They are passing the blame on each other and avoiding any response
Cash withdrawn from ATM of Axis Bank of C Block Janakpuri but cash not disbursed due to over thickness and the machine pulled back the entire cash. ATM Debit card is of ICICI Bank, B Block Janakpur. Complaint raised through SR No 110909487 dated 1st July (same day) to credit my account for Rs. 20, 000/-, But till date no response. They are passing the blame on each other and avoiding any response. How to get back my money without further delay.
