Fraud
My account balance is not updated till date.No one has replied to my mails which I had send to the customer care, Idea's nodal & Appellete authority. I have had similar problems with Idea eailier also.Idea truely sucks.
I recharged my account through net banking at 5:57 PM on saturday 9/10/2010. I got a message from Idea saying that your money has been transferred successfully and it is being updated in your account.I waited for half an hour but my phone was not recharged. I called up the customer care(198).This is what happened :-
Customer care executive 1 - He said I can not help you call 12345 for information.
I called 12345 - that call is charged so I was not able to talk to 12345.
I called up 198 again :-
Customer care executive 2 - Said that he can not help. Asked me to call 12345 .I told him I dont have balance.He then told me to call some other number (I am still wondering what that meant). I asked him which number.He said Airtel, vodafone (maybe he meant that you should buy another number because Idea will continue to be a pathetic service provider). He suggested another solution that go and get your phone recharged again and then call 12345 - Now that is interesting - first you dont recharge my account and then tell me to recharge my account again.Good. well done !! nice sales gimmick.If you guys think that you are the only service providers that I can bet you are mistaken.He disconnected the phone.
I decided to give a complaint and get a complaint number so I called up 198 again :-
Customer care executive 3 :- He told me it takes a maximum of 2 hours for the amount to get credited if recharged via net banking ( finally a break I thought).He assured me that my phone will be recharged in 2 hours.He gave me a complaint number :- 1-11016548588.
After approximately 3 hours nothing happened :-
Customer care executive 4 :- I told him the problem.Now he tells me that it takes 24 hours for the amount to get credit. I told him to write another complaint and asked him if I can talk to his senior ( complaint number :- 1-11020215744).He forwarded the call to his senior .
Senior executive :- Don't know how senior he was but now he told me that it will take 48 hours for the amount to be credited.

wrongly disconnected
Dear Sirs,
I am life time customer with Idea 9824124276, since 03/06/2006. For this they had charged me Rs 1100/- and informed that incoming calls will never be stalled, only outgoing calls will be stalled if there is no credit.
(1) When I returned from abroad on 27/08/2010, I had no connection.
(2) I visited Idea office on 28/08/2010 and I was informed to leave phone with some one in India for making call once in a month. Simply rediculous.
(3) I sent emails to all concerned as per their website. Their customer care replied for use in 6 months, but it is disconnected before 6 months.
(4) They argue of SMS and voice mail before disconnection, which a person in abroad can never receive.
(5) Why a customer need to waste interest free Rs 1100/- (new customers need not pay any thing).
(6) Their website states use in 3 months for new customers only.
(7) Further reply from their customer care states for reactivation I should appraoch as new customer. That is possible with other service providers, also.
(8) What about Rs 1100 + running coupon + mental harassment and financial loss due to nonavailability of connection?

Not Giving Correct Information
Before I have activated GPRS on Mobile, I have told them (Customer Care) my Moble model is “NOKIA 3110C” and I want to activate GPRS no my mobile it is possible that they told this model is supported and Activated GPRS and deduct Rs 98 from my account on 01-Sep-2010. Now they are not sending Setting for GPRS or Customer Care(Person) told me We (Idea Cellular) not have setting for “NOKIA 3110C” Model. Then Why they activate GPRS on my Mobile. How can I take my money Back.

REGARDING DND SERVICE
i have a idea prepaid connection no 9887135191, 15 or 16 days ago i have subscribed a dnd(do not disturb) service on my cell no. but serrvice in not activate on my no. my avtivation uniq no. is 1-10049090103. i am very disappointed due to this problem. so please look this matter...

My problem is regarding Dialer tone
I am a customer of Idea since March 2007. My problem is regarding Dialer tone. During the first month my dialler tone was some english tone wchich was also not selected by me but forcefully activated by Idea. I am not at all interested in Dialler tone and hence whenever Idea calls me regarding same, I used to disconnect the phone. Yesterday I got a sms from 456 that my dialler tone subscription has been successfully renewed and Idea deducted 30Rs from my account.
Here starts my problem:
1. As I am not at all interested in dialler tone so it is not question of activating it. Even if in case it get activated accidently, my dialler tone is conventional ring i.e. tring tring since last few months.
2. I called Idea customer care centre and IDEA representative told me that I will get 30Rs within next 24Hrs. 24 Hrs is already left and I did not get any kind of refund. So I called Idea customer care centre next day and customer care representative told me that it is not possible to give refund and he disconnected the call in between.
I would like to get my money back as it is not my fault and I am 100% sure about it. I think Idea is fooling the customer by such things. I was fortunate to check and notice change in my balance otherwise Idea could have deducted money every month.
I am really fed up of the service given by IDEA. Last month also I got a very bad service from Idea for Internet settings. I do not really expect to have such kind of cheating from a big company like Idea. Sometimes I really feel like to switch over to the other mobile service provider.

Stay far away from Idea Cellular
On 2 march 2007 i went to roaming their i received a call from idea number but due to prblem in network its last within 2 seconds, after that my balance is deduted by Rs 30. when i reached back to delhi i register acomplaint to their custmer car executives abot that, they told me that you rediff funtu jokes is activated but i dont activate it, iasked how to close this they gives number to activate/deactivate caller tunes but not of jokes, it will cost me Rs 7. then differnt executives gives diff method to deactivate this but it never works.
in April My balance is not deducted then i thought it is deactivated but in May again i went in roaming to Gorakpur U.p.then i again got a call this time from my friend who uses services Of Reliance Communication but i am unable to receive the call due to prblem in Network again my balance is deducted by Rs 30, then when i conacted to their executives they will give the same reason. But iam not Receiving any Jokes From April 2007 to till date. How is this Possible also i dont want to use this Facility.

Stay away from Idea Cellular
3 yrs ago i.e. in 2004 i had taken an idea postpaid connection. For that i had paid a security deposit of Rs. 3000. I am having all the recits with me. when i went to the idea for converting it into prepaid connection in the month of september 2006, they told me that i dont have any security deposit in my account. when i showed them the original recits with me they told that they will seee in the case. After that they credited Rs.2000 in my account after visiting atleast 12 times to the law college road office, pune from september till today. Still Rs. 1000 is remaining.
I had taken this connection from shree cellular, sinhgad road, Pune. When i went to shree cellular regarding security deposit, the head their (Rahul) advised me "Take the money that we are giving and leave the idea connection, dont fight for the remaining money". I want to ask dont you need costemers?
I will be leaving the pune after 1 month so please look into my case and do something for me. This case is pending since 7 months.

Their customer service has not been very competent to understand out problem
I have changed my postal address. The bills of June, July 06 was sent to my old address inspite of my request for change of address. Finally I realised that after raising a request I need to insist for a communication id as it was required to make a status followup.
The disgusting part of my interaction with the customer service executives has been that they are not very competent to understand our problem secondly they are in an extreme hurry to close the call. I would rate them as very poor listeners though being a good listener is supposed to be their core competency in this profession.
Is there any forum where we can raise our concerns.

I regret to state that an IDEA can change line is flop and failed.
very weak signals, blocking of call is very frequent even for 100 Rs
your customer care is worst than all others compnies.They all talk as they are bosses if we complaint of bill payment they say talk to your dealer at your area.
I will be very soon getting rid of your connection I will block it.
secondly I promise you that more than 30 more will be doing soon in next 3 days.
Let me tell you
