Two months ago I called AHS American Home Services to have an Electrician from IDEAL SERVICES come to check a problem we were having with a short between the Ceiling fans and the electrical outlet our T.V. was plugged into. Problem: each time the ceiling fan is turned off or on the television would flicker on and off.
Electrician from IDEAL SERVICES Tech came out to the home undid 2 screws then said it was a cable problem and not an electrical problem. I contacted Cox Cable they came out and stated it was an electrical problem since it is the ceiling fan switch that caused the T.V. to flicker.
The electrician from IDEAL SERVICES told me to call the cable people which I did and I was billed $65.00 for the service man to come out just for him to say it is an electrical problem and not a cable problem. I then contacted IDEAL SERVICES regarding the situation they made another appointment and on the day of the appointment no one showed or called, I wasted a day staying at home waiting for the service man to come. Working in the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital my time away from work is valuable. I contacted AHS American Home Shield and they made another appointment with IDEAL SERVICES for the electrician from IDEAL SERVICES to come out.
Today 8/9/10 I wait another day for another service man to come & fix the problem with my TV and the electric. The service time is supposed to be from between 8-11 it is now 1130 and no one showed up yet.
This is so frustrating and a lot of time wasted. !200 here comes the service tech and tis one at least looked at several areas for the problem. This service tech stated that he will be contacting AHS to let them know the “smart box” needs to be replaced. Whatever that is.
Now I will wait to hear from American Home Shield to hear what they want to do with the problem.. I will let you folks know then…
