I just discovered a charge on my credit card by IdentityWorldWide.com. I found the company's website & called them to tell them I did not sign up for their service. They asked for my phone no. which showed I had an account with them as a result of Blooms Rewards registration. When I signed up for BR the telephone rep did NOT mention this at all. The IdentityWorldwide rep said it was part of terms of acceptance for BR program altho I can't find any reference to it. They said they sent an email confirming. I advised I never got it! At first they refused to refund $14.99 charge as I had access to my supposed account for 6 days...which I didn't even know I had. I indicated that was not acceptable so then they said they could prorate & refund $4.99. Again NOT ACCEPTABLE. I asked the agent if she was really going to make me go through the exercise of contacting my bank, reporting the charge as FRAUD which would be charged back to them so ultimately they were not going to get their money!! She backed down & said full refund would be issued and I will receive an email confirming within 1 hour. That was 30 minutes ago so still waiting on it. I will have to watch my account to ensure refund goes through. Don't let these people bully you... Insist on refund and if they refuse then talk to your bank and have them reverse the transaction as Fraudlent!! It's rather ironic a supposed Identity Protection service is making Fraudulent charges!
