This company is one of a network of so-called grant information services companies, which unbeknownst to the inquirer about their services, sends submitted credit card information to other so-called related companies, who then charge a monthly charge for services and products, never ordered, or ever received. Upon challenging the charge at the customer service phone number, a boiler-room type customer svc rep, reads a script stating that the customer signed up for all these other services at the time of his/her initial inquiry. Even though I called the original company about which I inquired, and cancelled the "subscription" and requested and received a refund for all charges placed on my card, for which I received nothing in return, this company, ID ProAlert, refused to refund charges made to my card without my knowledge or consent. Even when informed that they would be reported to the Federal Trade Commission and their local Better Business Bureau, they refused to transfer the call to a supervisor, placed the call on hold, with elevator music, and finally disconnected altogether.
I am, thanks to this website, filing a formal complaint with the FTC and the Better Business Bureau immediately.
Others, please beware of making ANY inquiries, or ordering any so-called service without first GOOGLING the company in question.
Good Luck everybody!!
