Refused Beverage but offerred a different option
April 21, 2011; We always dine at Iggy's it's one of our favorite restaurants and have never had poor service. Today, we arrived and my husband ordered an alcohol beverage and I ordered a root beer soda. After our appetizers, our meal arrived and my husband had finished his beverage and asked if he could have another and was refused because it was against their policy, note this is not in the menu but the manager said a behind the scene policy to protect the restaurant. The manager and waitress said if it was beer it would be ok but if that we would have to wait until the end of an one hour after an alcohol because the beverage my husband had ordered had 2.5 ounces of liquor in it. We had never heard of such a thing and it was humiliating. When we asked to see the policy he said it was not written but just known through out the Iggy's Franchise. We were finished the meal and my husband finished my root beer instead. This never has happened to us. The waitress name was Marcie M #254, table 23/1 and we left at 5:33pm. I would appreciate Iggy's Corporate if they could respond on such a policy at least make this known to customers upfront. I was not happy how the manager responded to us nor the waitress. Our total for our meal was $46.70. I'm not sure if Iggy's has had problems with serving alcohol beverages, but when they offer you a beer instead due to the liquor content, something is really wrong with the company's s. p policy.It should be no liquor at all including Beer. 7640s1300E
