poor service
My family and I went to the IHOP in Macon, Ga. At 10:30 in the morning on Saturday. We waited an hour and a half to get out food and when we did get it, it was cold and undercooked. All the waiter could say was that it was BUSY. Complained to mgr. And he asked, "what do you want me to do?" He gave us a discount and was very rude about it.

Allowing a man's pet to die
This is THE full media story on the man's pet that officer's and Ihop allowed to die. Ihop allowed this man's pet to die in their very own parking lot and did nothing not a single damn person did anything to help this man's dog. http://www.wjla.com/articles/2011/06/loudoun-county-man-blames-sheriff-s-deputies-for-death-of-his-dog-61779.html
This is sickening and disgusting that no employee nor officer's of the law helped this helpless animal. I am no longer going to spend my money on IHOP food anymore due to this horrific event that took place killing an innocent animal in their parking lot and the employee's and managers did NOTHING!
JUSTICE FOR REX!

TERRIBLE SERVICE
TERRIBLE, my sister in-law ate some plastic, the waitress was NOT concerned about this, it took over an hour for our food, we watched the food sit up under the heat lamp for about 20 minutes while our waitress Yovnne (manager on duty) looked perplexed by our order. I will never, go to an I Hop again!!!

Server rude
My wife and I have been eating at IHOP s restaurants all over the country on our vacations. I usually don't go on the websites of companies, but the service at the IHOP in South Portland Maine was terrible. We stopped for breakfast and received the worst service ever. Our server Amanda was rude. Her shirt was to short and very tight, we saw a character from sesame street Almo my wife tells me. She was very involved in talking to her friends on phone and texting. When she came over to check we asked for a glass of water and she made a very dumb joke (there well went dry) and she laughed, we did not. My wife and I were so appalled at this experience that we asked for our bill paid and we left VERY VERY DISSATISFIED. We then noticed a cracker Barrel down the street were we went for the rest of our vacation, the service was wonderful, food good and we felt that our presents wasnt a dollar in their pocket.
We asked a server also on our way out who the manager was and guess what, it was Amanda our server. We think that maybe she should go to cracker barrel and see how proper service is conducted.
Thank you again and hopefully this women will either get some morals or be removed from her position.

Disappointing visit
I visited IHOP #5514 on 4/18/11 at noon. A woman outside near the newspaper stand shared with me that the computers were not working and it was hard to run a restaurant without computers, so I assumed she was an employee. I should have reconsidered going inside, but was craving some pancakes. Service was very disappointing--once my food was delivered, I never saw the waitress again. I had to approach her near the kitchen to get a check to pay. The food was also disappointing--eggs way over-cooked. Ordered Simply Fit 2x2x2. Since she did not come by to check on my food, I had no opportunity to complain. I was by now running late to get back to work, so did not take time to complain to the manager. I will not be likely to revisit.

Slow service
Went to Ihop in Lynchburg, VA this am...not overly busy. After waiting 30 min for our pancakes and eggs we were told after asking our waitress...she did not offer any explanation as to why we still had 10 minutes to wait. As we all had appts to make we had to leave before eating. Very disappointing experience. We eat there quite often and never had such a disappointing experience.

Bad Management, Bad Service
My husband took me to IHOP for Mother's Day brunch. We waiting about an hour to be seated, but we expected that but that wasn't the problem. We were seated at a table without utensils. I asked our server, Sheri C., for utensils twice. After she took our order, we in a span of an hour, she didn't come to check on us once. Our combined order consisted of a pancake combo an order of scrambled eggs and toast. Meanwhile the mom and her son that got seated behind us at the same time we did, had eaten and since left. Also, a couple had come in 45 minutes after we were seated and got their food before we did. These two patrons as others served by a different server were coming and going before we got our food. After I complained to the manager and we got our food five minutes later, no longer warm, when Sheri brought it to us. She complained that the cooks "keep messing up her orders." My husband and I are not big eaters, but at this point my stomach was so upset I don't think I could've enjoyed the food if it was fresh from the kitchen. When we paid for our food, it was over two hours later.

Discriminated Against US
This letter is to complain about service I recently received from the IHOP restaurant manager named Jose Chavez.
I visited the IHOP at 3760 N Halsted St in Chicago, IL on 4/17/2011 at approximately 2:00am, with a group of friends to dine in. After about 20 minutes of waiting for food, the waitress brought our food to the table. The intent to come and eat at the restaurant was in-part due to a friend of ours and former employee, not feeling well and needing some food. Our friend became ill at the table and regurgitated at the table, before being able to get up and go to the bathroom. This occurred, right after he took a few bites of the food that had just been placed on the table. The waitress came over to see if he was ok, and to ensure the food did not make him further sick; however the manager Jose Chavez, came over and said “he has to get out”. This is where my issue began.
I had to explain the issue to him several times because he did not seem to be listening and didn’t display any concern that a customer was sick, potentially due to the food he’s just ate. While talking to Jose, he turned and walked away in the middle of while I was speaking. The waitress returned to apologize for her boss’s behavior, which is very unprofessional that Jose himself did not express the same courtesy. She even told her boss what I’d attempted to advise him, that our friend has a medical condition, which is why he required food and was a former employee, to which his response was “well, he should know better”. Furthermore, after our friend returned from the bathroom and went outside for some fresh air, he attempted to return to eat, and was told by the host, he could not return inside. He asked if he could get his coat and was told, “someone will get it to you”. Another member of the staff told me he was outside, and upon me going out to check on him, he advised he was not allowed back in. Needless to say, I was quite frustrated at this point.
I walked back in to grab our coats and advised we were leaving after the horrible treatment we received. I also advised that I will contact corporate, and received no apology at all. In addition, we did not even get a chance to eat and enjoy the food we’d ordered. After walking out, Jose and the security guard stopped the last member in our group, telling him he had to pay $54.00 dollars for the food. Our friend advised that he felt he should not have to pay after such horrible, embarrassing service and with not even eating the food. Jose threatened him and advised he’d call the police, and the security guard stood in his way, forcing him to pay. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!
I expected a much higher level of service from your company, and I am quite disappointed. I am not only upset at how we were treated, but I find it reprehensible at the blatant racism that was displayed. We were the only Black customers in the restaurant at the time, and this is not the first time we’ve been treated poorly at your establishment. I also witnessed Caucasian individuals who appeared to be intoxicated, act loud and belligerent and neither Jose nor any of the management team spoke to them or removed them from the restaurant. Because
I do not want to spend any more time on this problem, and will not continue to be treated with such disrespect by a company, I am not patronizing IHOP any further, and I expect a FULL refund of the money paid for non-service. We also demand an apology for the rude service, displayed to us. I will be informing my friends and family about this experience as well as my Alderman, The Better Business Bureau, The Rainbow Push Coalition, FOX News Chicago, Time Out Chicago Magazine and Out Magazine, to advise about the racism and intolerance allowed at your establishment. I will continue to blog about my experience on several complaint sites, including YouTube, to bring attention to this disturbing experience. I have also contacted the Chicago Department of Public Health, as my friend did not regurgitate until initially eating your food.
