outraged
I just went into an IHOP today to have an enjoyable and fulfilling meal, but instead what I got was a very disastrous and disappointing one. not only was the waitress EXTREMELY rude but the food was surprisingly inadequate and disgusting; I couldn't finish it. not only was the meal horrible but i had to wait extra long for it. The restaurant wasn't even that busy and the waitress seemed to be busy with everything and everyone but my table. when i pointed that i had been waiting at least 10-15 minutes, she gave me a million and one excuses and an attitude on top of the excuses. one of her excuses to me was that the meal was taking so long because the chicken that was part of the dish was frozen and they had to re-heat it. i should have left at this point but i was extremely hungry; little did i know that the food, along with the waitress, would be horribly distasteful. i will never go back to that IHOP again and i may never go back to any IHOP ever again. that was, hands down, the worst restaurant experience ever. i probably could have dealt with the horrible food, but the waitress just topped it off and sent me away from that IHOP forever.

horrible experiance
My name is patrick miller and my wife keri and I have given this IHOP several chances. The first time we ate there it was awful. We had been seated and are drinks wern't given to us until 20mins of being seated, the resturant was not busy at all there was only 3 tables total. The second experience the same basically happend but worse we're also were sat and forgot about for about 15-20mins. The third experience was horrible we were seated okay but we ordered the hashbr0wns and bacon and they were completely disgusting they tasted like they were sitting on the grill all nite, rubbery and unedible. We asked for more the waitress brought us the exact same type of unedible hashbrowns and bacon. We asked to speak to the manager and she brought us three more plates of the SAME exact food. We were very displeased for the 3rd time. Thats why we travil 30mins to the IHOP in the cloverleaf plaza in concord. They do not displease us, its awsome service everytime and everytime we go there we request beth's service or Roxane's service they do a fantastic job!They all do! The only reason we have gone to the IHOP in salisbury is because it's closer, but we WILL NOT go there again unless they change ALOT!! You can contact me if willing at (980)621-4925

Poor Management
Employees are often asked to work shifts such as 4 PM to 5 AM. They are given little to no notice of their schedule. Often times employees will receive calls or text messages 2 hours before a shift to inform them that they are scheduled to work, and this is while there is absolutely no schedule posted. Overall, this establishment is run very poorly, but employees are frustrated due to the disrespect they receive from management which creates an environment of workers harboring deep seeded resentment toward those who are supposed to manage them but aren't.
Can anything be done?

manager-rude, food wrong
On Wednesday September 9, 2009 We took our daughter and son in law to ihop to have supper. My husband and I have never been there before and wanted to try something different.
Jonathan asked our waiter if they had chicken fried steak, he replyed yes, he again said chicken not steak. The waiter than answered again yes. When our food arrived and he took a bite he quickly said this is steak (he does not eat steak). We finally got the waiter back to our table and Jonathan told him that it was steak not chicken. The waiter said well that is what we call chicken!! He then said let me get the manager.
It took several minutes for him to arrive at our table. Jonathan then explained the conversation to him.
The manager then replyed We dont have country fried chicken. Jonathan said again, you dont understand what I am trying to say. I asked the waiter twice if he had it and he said yes! Thats why I ordered it. The manager then said what do you want me to do about it I told you we dont have chicken. At this time I spoke up and said he would like something else, he said o.k. what.
Jonathan said a bacon cheeseburger only with no sides.
He turned to walk away and I said we also need refills on our drinks they have been empty for a while. As he walked away he said he would take the steak off our bill but we would still have to pay for the burger. I said fine.
At this time everyone had finished there meals and we were waiting on the burger.
Oh, by the way we never got refills. We finally got the attention of the hostest and she got them for us.
Jonathan`s burger and our bill arrived at the same time.
I asked the waiter why the burger was $7.99 if he didn`t want any sides with it. He replyed it was the same price with or without. Don`t you think the manager should of told us that. He just shrugged his shoulders.
At this time we were all frustrated and ready to leave. Jonathan did not eat his burger and we left. My husband did leave a tip (against my advice) and we payed our bill and left. I would tell you the managers name but he had no name tag and never told us. We wont be back!

Terrible service
I went to Ihop on Colerain Ave. across from northgate.. at about 2 am... me and a few friends went after a concert and we were the only one's there besides a family who already had food on their table. We ordered drinks after having to call the waiter over to us 5 minutes after we got there. It took about ten minutes to get our drinks brought over. Mind you, there were two servers and a manager walking around. We had ordered pancakes, chicken, salads, a bunch of munchies becuase we had a little to drink. So, about 25-30 mintues come by and the waiter brings us a hotdog which we did not order and left it there on the table when we told him it was wrong and he didn't even apologize. We ended up eating it because the three of us were at a 5 hour concert and starved. Anyway, another 15 mintues rolls by and we ended up leaving without even paying anything because we ordered waters and the manager stops us to pay for this hotdog we didn't even order. Long story short she calls the cops and tells them we ate and ran and we explained the whole story and the cops took our side and told us just to leave. We called the main Ihop number to complain but no one ever did anything. It's a bunch of rejects and crack heads working there.. don't go there!!!

Extemely Poor SERVICE
Our family just experienced the worst restaurant service we have ever had at iHOP today (8/7/08). We arrived at about 11:45 on Friday, waited over 30 minutes to be seated, over 15 minutes for a waitress to come to our table, and over another 30 minutes for our food to come.
At no time during the wait, did the manager come to talk to the customers about the delays. There were no forks at our table, so we had to get them ourselves.
Customers at over 4 other tables got tired of waiting and left the restaurant. The restraint was only about 1/2 to 3/4 full during our wait, and when we finally got our food was only about 1/4 full.
I finally asked to talked to the manager, and she stated that our food was coming and would only discount 2 meals.
It was my sister's birthday. and when the food came her order was not included, and she had to wait another 5 minutes, and then only 1/2 her order arrived. We were also most done eating when the rest of her order arrived.
Finally we got tired of waiting for the bill, and went to pay, and HAD TO WAIT for the manager to get the bill.
Again we and another family in front of us complained that this was the worst service we have ever experienced, and asked for the meal costs to be waved, but the manager would only discount 2 meals.
I asked to the manager to write her manager's name and her name on the receipt, but she only listed her name, and a number that did not go to iHOP.
I called iHOP via their web site contact us information, and was told the information would be sent to the franchise owner, and that there was no way to contact the franchise owner directly. Ticket #293248

Scam and lies
My ex-employer are bouneing check. i had 4 bounce checks.2 of them where takin care of and the other 2 are being missed handel.when i talked to my boss he said he im getting sick of all these bounce checkbut i will fix it. he said this in march, 2008 so 2 weeks later i asked him about the check he said he needs proof so i gave him the proof he said he will send a money order and i never got it. about 2weeks later i asked him about it he said the money order got lost. and he said i need proof of the bounce check. told him i gave it to you he told me that he had lost it and he needs more proof. know that was the only proof i had and i gave it to him cause i trusted him.and its been 3 month later and i still have not got any money for my ckeck. and with my last check was bonced for (nsf) so i called them and asked them what was going on and one of the managers told me that it was not his proplem and he hand up on me so i called back he picked up the phone and hung up again.

Egg shells in my food
We go to this Ihop quiet often and have always had good service. Well on this trip it wasnt. I had Pancakes and eggs and when I turned my pancake to put butter and syrup on it there was a bunch of egg shells. When I told the waitress she just kinda laughed and said some Crunch with your hotcakes. I didnt find it funny at all. I didnt eat my food and had to go home and eat a peanut butter and Jelly sandwhich after paying good money for food Im couldnt eat. I am on SSI and I dont get to go out that often so when I do I really look forward to enjoying it. I though her attitude was rather rude... would she eat egg shells an d think it funny if it was there food. When I went to pay they asked if everything was ok and I said No and they asked why and I told them and they kinda snickered to. Makes me wonder if it was on Purpose.. Needless to say I wont go back and I LOVED there Butterscotch hotcakes

rude manager
The other night my five friends and I decide to go to IHOP to get something to eat in early hours of the morning around 1:30/2 a.m. It was a mess from the moment we walked in. We were aware that IHOP was going to be jam packed and FULL of drunk cowboys but, we have always has some-what decent service so still wanted to go. My two friends arrived there about 10 minutes before me and the other four so my friend put her name on the list for us. After we got there and about 20 minutes of waiting for our name to be called the manager at the front gives me and the four friends who got there late a mean glare and says not only very loud, but very rude, "EXCUSE YOU. ARE YOU WAITING FOR A TABLE OR SOMETHING? YOU HAVE TO PUT YOUR NAME ON THE LIST IF YOU WANT TO BE SAT!" so we replied back saying we did. She looked at us like we were stupid. Then my friends cut in and said, "uh I did...Amanda for 6?" the manager then looks down and says "oh, s**t". So yeah, that made us angry but we didn't say anything.
So anyway, we're sitting there under a cheap hawaiin umbrella (the ihop is decorated in this theme) and attached to a taped monkey. So a woman, a drunk one, comes up to and pulls on it, making the umbrella fall on top of us. So of course we're not just going to sit under it, we try and put it back up. But, something is wrong with it and we are unable to keep it up so we're sitting there holding it up, trying to make it stay and all of a sudden the manager turns around quickly and literally YELLS at us, "HEY! DO NOT TOUCH THAT! YOU CAN'T JUST HELP YOURSELF TO WHATEVER YOU WANT!". We were absolutely shocked. Who does this woman think she is? We weren't trying to make trouble, we were simply fixing someone else doing.
So yes, my friends got extremely mad and the woman now wants to kick us out! After we all exchange many mean words we start walking to our car and remember hey, we need to get her name. So my friend and I walk in back inside and ask for her name. She gave us her first name and absolutely REFUSES to give us her last. My friend and her say a few things to eachother and as we are walking off the manager says, "Act your age, not your IQ.". I think that was very rude, childish, and far beyond unprofessional.
Then we leave, go to Denny's and honestly have the most kind server we have ever had.

Food Poisoning
My family is holidaying in California and went to eat at IHOP in Anaheim on Sunday 12 July 2009.
Following the burgers my two sons had they became violently ill and had to be taken by paramedics to the LAX medical center.
Subsequently their trip and enjoyment has been ruined, not to mention lost connections and additional expenses.
I wrote a politeletter to customer service and have just been ignored - not even to say how are my buys.
I just want any visitor to know not to go anywhere near an IHOP if they value their health.
