I'm an international graduate student of IIT Stuart School of business. There are also about 200 classmates of mine share the same problem with me. When we were registered for our programs, we were all required to take a PCA course, a language course teaches almost kinder-garden English but costly. It will cost about2800 usd per semester. But when we got our admission letter, there's no word about the PCA course.
Moreover, to get our Master's degree, we need to finish 33 academic credit hours as the AD said. And of course, the credit hours for PCA is not counted. But when we inquired with our advisers and other supervisors of the university, the answer is absolutely the same. Even if we finish that 33 credit hours, if we don't take PCA, we still cannot get our degree.
Additionally, almost every international student (major in Master of science in Finance) has a scholarship range from 1000 to 5000 per semester. And that is the major lure which drive us to IIT. But considering the unexpected PCA course and its incredible cost, I can just conclude that we are fooled by IIT.
All of the this tricks by IIT are absolute defiance to the rights of our international students and also to the American Spirit and LAW. If this kind of things cannot catch the attention of people and related-officials, the US education will face threat.
