OH MY GOD I am so surprised that there are no complaints about them up until now.
Where do I start.
It's a gorgeous little meat market and grocery store in DeKalb, they have some great products, and the employees are a really friendly community. But it's privately owned by the Inboden family, who don't know how to run a business, they hire people who are desperate for jobs, and then they treat them like shit until they quit, the turnaround rate for employees there is ridiculous. Hence, pretty much nobody knows what's going on and there is little or no training. If you get a job there, expect 12 hour days, 6 days a week, minimum wage, no chance of promotion, one 15-30 min. break a day (illegal), and you will be called stupid, a retard, a piece of shit, a "doper", etc. by the bosses at any given time that they feel you aren't working hard enough. They will yell. You will also be expected to go along with the bosses sexual jokes, including statements about your underwear, where they want to fuck you, how they want to fuck you, and how big their dicks are (whether you are male or female), these statements are everyday occurrences.
Besides the management, I'd also be wary of certain things as a customer there, as they break many codes. The ground round beef is the same stuff as the ground sirloin (lying to the customer / false advertising). The fish that they claim is wild caught is farm raised. The ham salad is made from ham, turkey, pork, beef, salami, etc. that generally sits out (unrefrigerated) for a day before being ground into ham salad. One time, the power went out there for a whole weekend, their generator only kept one or two freezers running, the display cases were down to room temp. the whole weekend, and on Monday they still sold most of that food to the customers, everything that wasn't moldy or melted, including salads with mayo in them. So, yea, really gross, but other than that, there's some good finds there, so I wouldn't complain about ALL of their products, but be wary.
