The passport system of the country is too complicated. If i want to apply for passport of my child the following are the documents required. 1) Birth Certificate 2) Mothers passport copy 3) Fathers passport copy 4) Mothers passport should have spouse name in the endorsement 5) Fathers passport should have spouse name 6) Both the passports of Father and Mother should have same residential address. 7) Sworn affidavit from the embassy.
Now the complication starts from the address change. It is obvious that Husband and Wife will not have the same residential address before marriage. So if i want to change the address, then both the person should have lived in that address for more than 1 year and we should have 2 different documents to show the address proofs. So obviously you cannot change the address in the first year of marriage. Now if you are a NRI then you cannot have any of these documents. So you cannot change the address because you do not have valid document worth more than 1 year.
I just want to know who is framing all these rules. If people are living in rental houses they will change their houses from time to time. So every year you cannot go and change the address. So the address in the government database is always outdated. Come on guys just have some common sense. The world is not going to fall apart if i change my address. Also just for getting my childs passport i should not be going through all the ordeals. Which ever minister is responsible for these rules should change all the non sense rules for the benefit of the public. Please Please grow up guys... do not be dumb.
