I have an issue about going into Indigo(chapters, coles, and indigo spirit included:same company) because they constantly hassle you about the irewards membership. It's 25 dollars and offers you 10 percent off your purchase. If you are like me(majority of their customers are) and buy only one book you will only save about a dollar and a few cents. I think it's ludicrous. I think the membership should be free to customers who always come back to the store, keep track of our purchases and then after a few give us the card for free, i mean we are giving you business. Asking us to pay 25 dollars to save 1 is just stupid. I'd have to buy more than 25 books a year and save a dollar each book just to get back those 25 dollars which are already non-existent. And to ask us to pay 25 dollars AGAIN after because yes the card does expire is twice as stupid.
Not to mention that 99% of everything in that store is over-priced, like it's made out of gold. You care about your customers and giving us savings? That's a load. As of late, i've been purchasing my books from the Real canadian super store(which offers 25% off all canadian prices) and walmart(30% off all canadian prices). In the end, i save 4+ dollars off each purchase, clearly they know how to offer their customers with savings.
Indigo, you should learn a thing or two from walmart and the super store, they are willing to offer us discounts on ALL the books, not the ones you can't sell.
