I recently finished a 4 year lease with Infiniti for a M35 and made arrangements to turn the car back in. After reading the lease agreement I found that the tires did not meet the standards so I spent $600 on new tires. We also had the car detailed detailed. Infiniti has a 3rd party inspector that reviews the cars. Upon inspection he said that the wheels were scratched and wrote up a report for approximately $600. I told him that I did not agree and that the black from the new tires and detailing were showing on the edge of the wheels. I then took the car to the local Goodyear where the tires were replaced and they did not see anything wrong with the wheels.
I returned the car without any word of the inspection and have since received a bill for $599. I called and talked to customer service who told me that they could have taken off $500 if I leased a new Infiniti and could only give me a $50 credit since I did not lease an Infiniti. There is no dispute process and they told me I had to pay the money. I hate that these companies are always right and they give us no way to dispute something that they say. After spending nearly $40, 000 on their car and turning it in with over 8000 miles less than the lease they charge me for normal wear and tear without a way to dispute their charges.
The consumer complaint department told me that they don't care if I don't buy an Infiniti in the future. I hope that other will also not buy or lease one of their cars.
