This company offers a free credit report once, but charges you $1.00 to get it. When you give them your credit card information they then start to place regular monthly charges on your account which you have not authorized. I caught the first one in the amount of $24.95 and put a permanent stop payment on it which cost me $50.00 to do. Thereafter the annual fee to keep it in place is $20, however my bank says they only offer the service for two years. Today, a year after the original stop payment was issued, I tried to terminate the permanent stop payment, but was told by my banker (who was kind enough to call me) that when they took off the stop payment order, another charge for $24.95 was immediately submitted by Info Free Credit Report. Needless to say I had the stop payment put back in place. My only choice is to close my checking account and open another. My bank says many people are duped like this and they are always reversing charges and placing stop payments for their customers. Who can stop these people dealing in FRAUD!!! Where's the Attorney General???
