I used their company profile search site for a full 12 month subscription for a total cost of $2, 800. They billed my credit card quarterly to maintain the service. My one year subscription was coming to an end and I was not interested in going forward with the service. When I contacted them 14 days before the end of the annual subscription they told me I had to cancel 30 days in advance of the last date of the annual subscription. Because I had not the "auto-renewal" feature kicked in and I was contractually obligated to pay for another full year. I told them I would compromise and allow them to charge me for one more quarterly billing and instructed them not to charge the credit card after the 15 month. The credit card had expired by the 15th month but they tried to charge it anyway. When it did not process they called me for the money. I refused to pay. They turned me over to a collection agency and I have been hounded since.
When I complained they claimed my account rep sent me a notification email of the auto-renewal. I did not receive the email. I asked them to produce the email. They did not produce the email. I requested to speak to the account rep but "unfortunately, he no longer is employed with the company." My point, you want to auto-renew a $20 monthly subscription, that is one thing. But, a $2, 600 annual subscription that you bill quarterly? I think I am capable of deciding if I want to renew, and if so, will do so on my own.
Bad faith, no appreciation for a customer that just gave you 12 months of business, untruthful about the outreach of the account rep about the aut0-renewal, and greedy.
