I signed up with IMS in 2001 when they offered me lower rates and have had my troubles with them more than once. Not wanting to go through the trouble of changing merchant services I hung it out but this last one did it. I had a chargeback, sent them everything showing the sale was legitimate, I even called the customer to verify the sale. I get a letter back saying I had to go into aberration at the cost of $250.00. I tried calling them and go a machine and was never called back, I called again with no results. End result, customer sent me a check for the product, minus chargeback fees.

I called customer service and was informed that I needed to call again, no luck, I mentioned canceling their services and was told their was a cancelation fee. I never heard of a cancelation fee after 6 months or a year, looked at my contract and found a clause which said "EARLY CANCELATION FEE" of $395.00. After a phone discussion with someone I was informed that any cancelation at any time was considered an early cancelation.

Back to the beginning of things, when I signed up with IMS I was not given a booklet, I was showed one but was told it would come in the mail, never got it and never thought about it until recently so I went online and looked at the agreement. It's not the same thing I read in 2001 and it is clearly not the same agreement due to dates shown of 2004 documents, remember I signed up in 2001. All this being said, I have changed merchant services and have not canceled them out yet but the latest one of charging me $75.00 yearly fee has done it. I am contacting the Missouri Attorney General, an attorney and the California BBB about this.

There was another issue with the Check Cashing service which I canceled years ago but they were charging we still, a complete oversight on my part but I did get refunded the money owed for the years of monthly fees taken from my account. The reason for cancling that service was they never caught a bad check and never covered one.
