I purchased a cell phone from them that had two rebates. One was for $75 and the other was for $50. When I received it they required that you wait six months to send it in and fill out a slew of documents, send parts of the box, etc. etc.
I apparently mailed it in a few days early so it was denied. They said that I had not put the order number in one of the boxes but they had the sales receipt attached with the order number on it. The problem was they waited three months to tell me of the problem and that was well past the time where they said, you could send in the revised information.
I complained and eventually spoke to a woman (Charlie) who agreed that they notified me well after the deadling. She gave me the fax number, asked me re-send information and that she would put it through. I went through the process of getting all the information, faxing it and then never heard anything. A few weeks later I called and spoke to a manager. He saw that I had sent in the information and assured me that he would put it through. That never happened either. I called again and was told that their computer would not accept a date as it was after their cut-off date. Claimed there was nothing that could be done.
Eventually I got all the way up to the assistant to the president (Miss Kemp). She told me they had no obligation to notify me that the rebate was declined before their deadling of 120 days from purchase. Also said that despite two of her employees agreeing to process the rebate, she was over-riding them and would not.
I must have spent 6 or 7 hours writing emails, calling, waiting on hold, etc. etc.
My order number was 551385sss Claim ID 61280sss and 61528sss. Don't know if anything can be done but nobody else should have to go through what I did. Inphonic is not a company to do business with.
