The first week of January I was bombarded with payday loan e-mails.
I thought I had deleted all of them, but when I received my checking account statement mid-month, I noticed an extra $300.00 deposit. I made the mistake of not investigating the originator, however it would have been too late anyway. The automatic debits of $90.00 came out each pay period for the next 4 pay checks, which was O.K.- I needed to repay. However the next pay check had an additional $50.00. In calling my bank to inquire about the source I was given Instant Cash USA phone number. The representative then disclosed the terms of the loan. I was flabergasted. I had never received the loan docs they claimed to have sent and would never had agreed to those terms. I requested the documents be sent to me. In investigating the documents the date and time I supposedly signed them I was not available at home. I have only my desk-top and no lap-top computer. Undoubtedly, someone fabricated my information and the company did not follow-thru with the documents. I have repaid the loan of $300.00 plus an additional $200.00 for interest. I had to close my account because Instant Cash USA can renew the loan if not paid in full.
